This is the most leniant forum I have ever seen. If there were people writing the kind of crap on the Digital Press that I have read here they would be instantly banned, but some of you guys continue to piss and moan about the moderators here not banning this person or that person. In my honest opinion, anyone who does that should be banned themselves. I, personally, would like to see ACAMS, Madiaba, and kill343gs do some house cleaning and ban some of your pathetic asses, just to show that they're not kidding.

You'll just have to face the fact that this isn't a perfect forum. Admins and mods have tons of stuff to do outside their internet lives while these young users start to enjoy their 3 (more or less) months of vacation. And as you can see here, some young users tend to have a hard time disciplining themselves. But in time, they'll behave (take a look at Hydro). Like life, it has its own crests and troughs. I'm pretty sure you can understand that. :D

Frankly I think the influx of new members has made quality go down but it has NOT necessitated bans. The mods should just try to get people to post more intelligently and less useless stuff like

I still say that Ava and S98 need temp bans so they will shape up. Sparkey is pretty much the second coming of LRA2, and avalanche IS the second coming of LRA2, and hes starting to act like it again.

I may cut them a little slack in a few days, but both will be in the limited group for a while.

my question is why is it up to the moderators to manage ?

there are times when yes.. we need to intervene but we arnt baby sitting here, those spamming and posting rubbish need to take responsibility and show some self control not leaving the mod team with hours of cleaning work.

We cannot prevent spamming or rubbish posts at all, but Mods and Admins can. THAT is why it is your job. People don't just realize one day: "Hey, I'm not going to spam anymore and I will post like an educated person."
That doesn't happen. We need intervention by you guys to instigate some discipline. Since you are not willing to give Veterans any power, you MUST take that burden on YOUR shoulders, because the people themselves won't.

Are you saying veterans are the only thing keeping GTM alive? In my mind it's the exact opposite. New people joining helps bring new ideas into the forums, and keep the RA2 community diverse. Losing all the vets would hurt, but it wouldn't damage the RA2 community that much.

You're afraid GTM will go the way of AceUplink, so you advocate that the admins do exactly what AceUplink did. The main reason why veterans hated AceUplink is because they were ban happy. Increase the amount of bans and you'll just increase the likelihood of a revolt.

even though its what we will end up doing it is basically like looking after children. people can have there fun and go off topic every once in a while no problem.. but but people who just spam up the place.... they are being selfish, pain and simple.

imo ACAMS is handling this the best with the limited system
