Title: General Cheddar Thread

Being from southwest Washington, I am biased toward sharp Tillamook cheddar. I'm also a fan of WSU's Cougar cheddar wheels. (Don't worry, it's made from cow milk.)

When I was still in college, I used to have a "McJeff" sandwich several times a week. It was essentially an Egg McMuffin from McDonald's, but it had cheddar cheese and would often have turkey instead of ham. Oh, and I left the yolk a little runny.

Oh, but mozzarella isn't as versatile as cheddar. Cheddar is great on just about everything! Mac 'n' cheese, burgers, grilled cheese, tacos, omelettes, scrambled eggs, burritos, enchiladas, broccoli, baked potatoes, fries, chili, and the list could go on for years.

Cheddar on pizza is amazing! Ever tried it? I will say that a mozzarella base is needed, though.

Post by: frezal on June 08, 2010, 01:17:40 PM: So, I made a pizza the other day and it was DELICIOUS. It was a cheese and olive pizza with my own homemade sauce. OMNOMNOMNOMNOM.

I used a blend of mozzarella and cheddar. I should make some more.
