School sucks...

I'm glad to hear your going back to school:-D. I agree about what you are Saying about Community Colleges and Universites. It was the same thing I was trying to tell Frezal in the Technophobe thread, who said that the college I was going to dosen't even count as going to college just because it was a "Community College" And said it was a running start???. There is no real difference besides the Universites are bigger with more people(better parties from what I experienced;)) and are way more serious about sports like division 1 and etc.... I like Community Colleges because they are smaller, more 1 on 1 with teachers if you need help, and Like you said save you a sh** load of money. Alot of people do community colleges first than transfer to universties like what I'm doing:smiley:. Best of luck this semester

I live on Long Island and everyone has the same ideas with going to a CC. Nassau CC is the most recognized in the US (IMO). The school has been flooded with so many people there is a waiting list for kids now. There are other Community Colleges in the area but with many having 80% population, education not being up to par and so on. I personally am leaving in exactly a week to Alfred, NY. 5 1/2 hours away from home. I changed where I was going to college because they will pay more, and has a stroner team. Also has better classes for what I will be pursuing; Electromechanical Engineering. I agree there will be a lot of BS math I will need to take up to Calc II, but in this economy even with a debt behind me it will gaurantee me a job once I receive my degree. Plus with the major I'm taking, I hope to make mad cashflow. ;] wish me luck college is gonna be hard classes with lots of downtime.

Ucla is paradise to me. Catching waves is the best part. My friends who went to Syracuse University are freezing their butts off while I'm in Cali Surfing and working on my strongest subject, metal fabrication. BTW I would have went to SU but I cant stand their football team:dead:.

School is a very smart move, these days. I know that it seems like you'll 'never finish' sometimes, but you will,... and you'll be soooo glad you invested in yourself.

That is not at all what I said. I went to community college. It's very much real college.
I was implying that you are a high school kid taking college courses at a community college. If you are not, both your college and your high school failed you. Everybody who is in college should have at least average reading comprehension skills.

You obviously have no reading comprehension skills.
I was implying that you are a high school kid taking college courses at a community college.
Ask somebody to read and explain that to you, dumbass.

"Ask somebody to read and explain that to you dumbass" ouch, there is no need to get upset:-D. Ya I obviously have no reading comprehension skills but I only copyed and pasted what you said though lol ??? And you act like internet forum posting reflects on a persons "Real" grammer and comprehensions skills???. I had to take a placement test in the beggaining of my first semester in college on grammer and Reading comprehension, and from your grades on that they put you in a English class. If you do bad(fail) they put you in the slowest class basically for the dumbass's which you are implying that I am :D. Well I'm sorry to break the news to you but I past that test with flying colors and have been taking regular English classes sense then.
