You guys have any fears? :P
My top 2 are probably heights and wasps (got stung by one of the little bastards yesterday >.<) =3
Whats your then? (doesnt make you any tougher or softer :P)
-
Wasps...
...and ReDeads.
-
I'm afraid of heights (though only when I feel as though I could legitimately fall), some spiders, bears (I assume), and death.
-
Yeah, i only fear heights if i feel like i can fall (im ok with planes, but things like being in a shopping center and those holes in the middle of the floor on the like 3rd floor, aint happning! (Plus if i touch that metal bar i get an electric shock)
-
Insane fear of hights. I hate anything steep, which is Ironic as I spend a lot of my time climbing.
-
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/22/Jelly_Monterey.jpg)
Jellyfish. I hate them.
-
atm everything :P but when im not going through anxiety... heights but get this.. not looking down but looking up is the big problem for me.
-
I'm scared of a lot of things.
Heights, snakes, spiders, general bugs, frogs and generally reptiles, fish, small spaces, ghosts/supernatural, etcetc
Yeah. I'm pretty easy to freak out.
-
I hate the thought of spiders or insects crawling on me, thats pretty much the only reason I'm afraid of them. Except for really tiny ones, they're ok. And I hate wasps with a passion.
I'm also scared of anything if I think its in a position to harm or kill me.
And fear itself. I don't believe in ghosts or anything like that, but if I'm in the dark and I hear a noise I can't immediatly explain... yeah.
I also beleive that if I didn't fear death I'd already be dead.
-
Falling. For some reason I can stand at the edge of a 300ft cliff and not care as long as I hold on to something, but I can't stand a ferris wheel.
That and I'm always worried something will break that I can't replace
-
When visiting the U. of Chicago last year, we went over to the Sears Tower to check it out (again). It was a sunny, but windy day. Before we got into the building I saw in myself that I already had a small backgound fear (awareness) of seeing any planes near the tower, for obvious reasons.
But at the top, because of the wind, the building's sway could easily be felt back and forth, which was not noticeable the other times I was there. I would say it was more than several feet. Now my brain told me that sway is good and necessary for the building,... but my emotions did not like it at all. I only stayed for about 15 mins at the top observation deck. I despise being irrational, but that's what I found in myself in that situation...
The only other fear I can think of is going fast on a motorcycle, (100+). Just out of H.S. a friend and I went on a brand new stretch of highway that was not yet open to the public. And we raced. At about 140+ my bike began to shake terribly so that I could not steer it. The wheels were not statically and dynamically balanced well. I thought that I would crash without steering or the bike would shake apart. But it finally stopped shaking at around 90 mph and since I've never gone fast on a bike again. My friend still did though.
-
I'm afraid of heights (though only when I feel as though I could legitimately fall),
I'm afraid of ^this^ and of seaweed when I am swimming in the ocean (still can't figure out why)
-
I fear death, pain, and dirty things. And insectoids.
-
I prefer driving myself than riding with someone else behind the wheel, whether it be in a car or a quad. I don't care if I was riding on the back of a quad driven by the world's safest quad rider, I would not feel safe. I cannot ride anything that I am not in control of. That includes roller coasters. A day at Six Flags is not a fun vacation for me.
-
Hmmm.... Yeah, dangerous high places, ummmmm... I have some others, though strangely that is the only one that comes to mind.
-
clowns, dropping in on halfpipes, getting a paper cut on a eye, china poisoning stuff that little kids eat
EDIT: WOW I am a heavyweight!
-
ghosts/supernatural
Then it's a good thing that ghosts probably don't exist.
that I'll never be able to go back to school.
I forgot about that one. Leaving college was hard, but I fear going back will be even harder.
-
Inside a house when its pitch black or close to. Everything looks creepy and different than what it actually is.
Drowning.
-
yes drowning also would be scary, or quicksand
-
ME CAN'T SWIM!I have to use armbands to swim.
-
what a loser
-
I don't swim, I let my fat give me bouyancy xD
Anyways.
Things I see that aren't actually real, arachnids (spiders, scorpions), godsmiters (a weapon in Gmod).
-
loser number 2
-
I don't swim, I let my fat give me bouyancy xD
LOL!
what a loser
I know i am.
-
Heights and pitch black darkness for me.
Oh yeah, and when the voices tell me to hurt people. I've been meaning to see a psychologist about that.
-
Anyways.

News buddy:
Arachnids ARE real
And you need to play Gmod less apparently.
-
real, arachnids
There is comma :D
-
sharks
-
I found another, dentists, lol.
Yeah, pain and death are probably another fear of mine.
-
I'm scared of bees, nuclear war, and people trying to kill me.
-
Everlasting boredom.
-
Everlasting boredom.
Go outside and make some friends. Everlasting boredom is impossible if you have friends. Or you can go outside without having friends. Exciting things happen all the time outside.
-
yeah, especially if your in the east side of london, lol (the side where your lucky to be burgled!)
-
Sometimes Tornados. There are quite a few where I live.
-
I don't have any fears for myself. That which does not kill me only makes me stronger. That which does kill me... well, we all die at some point so it is just a matter of "when?".
However, I do fear if harm ever came to my wife and stepkid and I could not do anything to help them. That would suck.
-
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v255/furezo/spider2.jpg)
I think I would die from a heart attack before this thing had the chance to kill me.
-
I'm questioning if that's real...
-
OSHI-
Dry lightning.
Edit: It is.
-
Hmmmm... interesting. I have to side with Reier though, I question the legitimacy of that picture. It just doesn't seem like the web could support that much weight. If it is real though, VERY cool.
EDIT: After some quick research, I found that the pics are real. However, the bird is only a finch or another bird of similar size, as the angle and distance of the camera can give the impression the bird is larger.
-
Basic stuff for me...heights, spiders (not as much anymore), surgery, cornered in the dark, and global warming.
(Oh yeah, screamers are scary,too)
-
Bump.
For me... i don't surprises. Fast ones.
Like potentially lethal punches that stop one half inch close from your face in karate.
And that damn Pedobear gif (only worked once though)...
I don't know if moving my head nearly one inch backwards when the thirteen-spotted ladybug (i think, there was some of them on it's dorsal ridge and it did not looked like any of the ones in my entomology book) I was studying closely on my room's window a few weeks ago took flight counts...
And also i love the dark.
-
I was studying closely on my room's window a few weeks ago took flight counts...
That always startles me, even when I know it is about to happen.
-
This is kinda weird but... I'm afraid of garbage disposals.
-
Spiders bigger than my hand and death.
-
Death,Huge heights.
-
I'm afraid of fire; I can light stoves and Bunsen burners, but I get panicked whenever I have to use matches or lighters. I'm also afraid of sudden loud noises (I startle easily), and eels, jellyfish, and sharks (I don't like swimming in the ocean, if you hadn't guessed). And heights too, at my old job, I had to regularly go up to the storeroom on a ladder, and I just hated it so much.
-
The ocean because all the world's fishes have to go to the bathroom somewhere so......
-
My biggest fear would be arachnids i hate the thought of them crawling on me, and complete and total darkness.
-
I fear wasps and spiders (Yes, the ones in England lol). My mum getting killed by a man.
-
My mum getting killed by a man.
But its fine as long as the murderer is female?
-
Hmm... Dark, Bees, Snakes & My little Brother, Temi xD
-
What so wrong with wasps and bees ? They're not aggressive (especially bees) unless you act stupid.
Hornets however...
-
my biggest fear is loosing my mighty superpowers
-
Im afraid of the unknown not nessacerily ghosts but things we don't know exist...
and wasps
-
I`m not afraid of death but i`m afraid of dying.
one of my biggest fears is to meet Sonny in the first round of replica wars -.- xD
-
I have a terrible fear of Drowning and being Buried Alive...
-
I'm a Phobophobiac. Well not really.
-
Bump.
I'm mortally afraid of every single spider on the planet except Urjak. I'm not fond of needles or death either.
-
I certainly don't have Arachibutyrophobia.
-
Hehe. Good times S_M.
-
Death isn't really anything to be feared.
-
Not my death. The death of my family, friends or dog.
-
Still...
-
Cliffs,I HAITE SPIDARS,and I used to have a slight fear of clowns.
-
i cant stand hights
if i think im gonna fall i freeze up completely
i was doing abseiling at some school trip and i couldnt move the instructor told me to lean back, i was at the edge of a giant tower!
-
Heights aren't dangerous at all unless you're falling.
-
Heights aren't dangerous at all unless you're falling.
BEHOLD,THE WISDOM OF NARYAR!!!
-
Not true. High altitude air has less oxygen, and not being able to breath can kill people.
-
Spirits. A couple years back i had an expierience with ghosts.
Me and some friends were riding bikes under some overpass, when this weird graffiti thing just pops out of nowhere on a nearby wall. I saw it and nearly fell off my bike. It looked like some anchor thing. I went torward it, and when i was no less than 2 feet from it, an arm came out and tried to pull me in, luckily i jumped away when it was less than an inch from my body. We all screamed and rode away.
That is probably my greatest fear.

I have to agree this time. Although I believe in ghosts, that's toally lies. Also, I've been taught in the art of special effects and I can tell you that video is fake in a number of ways.

BUMP
I have a feer of Bubonic being spread again :S
You mean the Bubonic Plague? It is still around today, though controlled by antibiotics. It will never become a pandemic again, it simply is not contagious enough. And did you know there is actually dispute on whether Bubonic plague actually was the Black Death?
-
Yeah I've heard that. I've also heard that they think it was a crazy meutated love shild of bubonic and neumonic 0_0
-

And that didn't tip you off to the fact they "they" are a bunch of loonies?
-
I fear for my life when I'm in a vehicle and my dad's driving. Sometimes.
-
When a importand person in your live cheated at you.
-
When got a B+ and you're supposed to get at least an A-. D:
-
You too? I was so scared that I had to go straight A's for the last four years of high school D:
Also: way to perpetuate the A's-or-death asian stereotype :P
-
Because I'm an A-sian, not a B-sian. :P

I see what u did there. =]
I am scared of chavs.
-
I'm not too fond of needles, creepy stories and being in total darkness.
-
I love fire, dunno why, I just love to watch stuff burn.
But I HATE the dark. (Maybe I've read a few too many ghost stories)
-
Getting killed.
And heights
-
Suppose Flowers, they just sorta...freak me out.
otherwise I'm fine with almost anything.
-
Don't take this the wrong way, but that is much more a phobia than a fear.
-
Perhaps I don't really see what the difference is. /shrugs
-
A phobia is an irrational fear (that's why I said "don't take this the wrong way")
-
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
-
Ah, so that would be the major difference.
Thanks for the note.
-
I got your fear swinging bitch
Good thing this is Junkyard HUH?
-
I sorta Fear anything that a mod quotes me saying.
-
Snakes. They aren't really something I fear I just really, really, really don't like them.
-
A phobia is an irrational fear (that's why I said "don't take this the wrong way")
Is there even anything like a rational fear ?
-

Well I can think of one for you...
...making Escargot, with Margerine!
-
Is there even anything like a rational fear ?
A fear of anything that could easily kill you is a rational fear. It isn't necessary, but it is rational nonetheless.

But is there anything rational about fearing death?
Though it may be true that only the one who lives forever never fears dying, if the ultimate of life is to enjoy it, why should we fear anything at all?
A fear of death comes from a fear of the unknown. No one knows what happens after people die, where their consciousness goes, etc - because no one's ever lived to tell the tale.
Just some random stuff for you to have a claw through.
-
I'm scared of silence.
-
I'm scared of silence.
Sedatephobia

Perhaps once you reached the age of 80 there is no reason to fear death, but it is perfectly rational to fear death (or things that will cause death) when you are only 20 or 30 years old. This is because you haven't enjoyed very much of your expected lifespan.

You'd know from living in that retirement home for so long, Gramps
