Title: Creepypasta Thread
Post by: Fracture on September 09, 2011, 07:32:13 PM
Halloween is coming up...sort of. What other thread would I make?

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/creepypasta (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/creepypasta)

Basically viral horror stories. Some good sources if you're interested:

http://www.creepypasta.com/ (http://www.creepypasta.com/)

The KYM page also gives some good places to start.

---

Let's face it. I've played a LOT of horror games. Silent Hill, F.E.A.R., Amnesia: The Dark Descent, you name it, I've played it. However, only one game stands out to me as the absolute scariest game I have ever played. This is the kind of game that you'll have nightmares about a year after playing it. The kind of game you wouldn't even show to a person if you hated him.

I found the game up for download on an old, relatively inactive forum. You probably couldn't find it you tried. I still don't remember the name of it. The forum only got a few posts per day, isolated from the rest of the Internet...and I hope it stays that way. There seemed to be an odd cult around the forum following the game. To see what it was all about, I easily found a download link and started the game up.

The game started out with a grey and somber menu screen with poor lighting, and a dirty metallic background. To start, it seemed that I had to create a customizable character. Now, the most prominent part of the game at this point that stood out was the music...if it can so be called. Strange banging sounds were in the background - it was more like random noises than music. Unnatural drilling sounds and heavy hammers could be heard every so often.

Anyway, my character could be equipped with a variety of cool weapons: axes, saws, swords...yeah, pretty cool. Unfortunately the game did not let me equip any of them, and I assumed you had to unlock them by progressing in the game. I guess I had to start from square one...no cool stuff on my character, but at least I got to give him a nice red-themed appearance. I started what appeared to be the first level...the game didn't really give many directions. Now that I think about it, did it give any at all?

Anyway, my character started in a dark chamber with dull grey walls and no windows...felt like a torture chamber, really. Wait, torture chamber? Oh God, is that what those drilling and hammering sounds were...? This was where I realized that something was DEFINITELY wrong here. It was not your ordinary video game. There was a giant mechanical skull laughing maniacally affixed high up on a wall...I was really disturbed at this point in the game and wished that I'd stopped playing. But some odd impulse in me drove me to keep going. It was presented in a first person perspective, and some kind of terror machine with a HUGE axe attached faced me across the chamber. There was distorted screaming in the background...was it getting louder? But I couldn't move. None of the buttons did anything. All the while the machine raced toward me, and all I could do was watch as it hammered the axe down on my character.

Seeing that axe digging deep into my character's flesh as it slammed down was horrifying. My character could do nothing as it was savagely destroyed by the giant weapon in the dark chamber that just kept hitting, controlled by a supernatural power. Then, suddenly, my character, now battered, broken and likely near dead, was ELECTROCUTED as if what it hadn't already suffered was enough. After another hit from the sharp axe, it was electrocuted another time and started having spasms all over the chamber, being slammed into the walls over and over again - hard, through some unknown force. The screaming in the background was now ear-piercing and my ears were ringing, but I could not summon the will to turn off the speakers, too scared to move. The screen turned black for about three seconds, then flashed back to my character, battered and broken, to be electrocuted one last time, finishing the job. It was definitely dead.

The game, as like to call it, "The Torture Chamber" was obviously made by some sick-minded **** who just wanted to have fun scaring some victims. I still have nightmares about being battered to death by that monstrous axe. Search at your own discretion, but if you dare play it...remember the name "Robot Arena 2".

---

I wrote that in like 40 minutes, haha. Now for a real one:

---

You are home alone, and you hear on the news about the profile of a murderer who is on the loose. You look out the sliding glass doors to your backyard, and you notice a man standing out in the snow holding a kitchen knife. He fits the profile of the murderer exactly, and he is smiling at you. You gulp, picking up the phone to your right and dialing 911. You look back out the glass as you press the phone to your ear, and notice he is much closer to you now. You then drop the phone in shock.

There are no footprints in the snow. It's his reflection.

Also, someone needs to make a GTM Creepypasta.

I write horror stories, did anyone read that Harry Potter one I did way back?

Neways, I'll write a horror story on either GTM or DSL, IF...

Somebody finds me this creepypasta I read a while back... I was an Animal Crossing one, it involved some girl's eye falling out, you going nuts about those weird statues, wearing bunny ears, Resetti, Nook and Slider being the only ones on your side...

It was actually a REALLY good read.

Lost Silver - Best Creepypasta ever.
I rather like this one. It even has music to go with it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK2iLnTR9V8#ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK2iLnTR9V8#ws)

I met my best friend in elementary school. We had both brought our   Gameboys to school one day and sat together at lunch once we realized   what we had in common. I had Blue version and a Venausaur, he had Red   version and a Charizard. He and I battled whenever we could and became   great pals. As the years went on, we continued playing Pokemon, even   through high school. Throughout all of the Pokemon generations and   versions we went though, the battles never became dull.

As we   approached college, we had to go separate ways. We didn't speak much   after that; we had such busy lives to follow in college. I didn't think   we would ever regain the friendship we once had. Then, Pokemon Diamond   and Pearl were released in 2007 and we once again enjoyed our common   interest in the series. We battled and talked over Wi-Fi nearly every   day for a few weeks after its release.

My friend told me that he   planned to play through his old Red version again. Since it had been   about three months after the release of Diamond and Pearl, we didn't   play them as much as before. I asked him why he wanted to play that   dusty old cartridge, and he responded, "I don't know, maybe I'll find   something that no one has found before."

Despite my unwillingness   to run through my Blue version with him, he played his Red version   anyway. After he started his journey, I never talked to him again. About   three weeks later, I received a call from my friend's parents.

Even   though he never had any similar problems before, he died from what was   speculated to be an intense seizure. He was alone in his dorm room until   a roommate, who was unfortunately too late, found him lying on the   ground, lifeless, and strangely wearing his favorite headphones. I flew   out as soon as I could to attend his funeral. His roommate, who was   going to attend as well, informed me that just days before the incident   my friend was becoming obsessed with Lavender Town and its music. My   friend had aspired to become a sound engineer after graduating and had a   wide range of audio skills at his disposal. He could always hear quiet   sounds vividly while I failed to even recognize them at all.

As   soon as he rediscovered Lavender Town, he ripped its audio to his   computer and began experimenting with it. Interestingly, he bragged   about finding a rare rip of the music from the first distributed batch   of the Japanese-exclusive Green version. Not specifically referring to   the special Japanese version, he had told the roommate that, "The   frequencies in this song are different; they blend together in a special   way. But there's something missing. I think something was meant to be   mixed in, but it never could have worked on the Gameboy. It was so   limited in terms of sound bandwidth." I had the chance to go through his   laptop one last time, so I visited his Recent Items list. At the very   top read "lavender.wav". Along with a few photos of us together, I   copied this to my flash drive. Caught in my sadness over my best   friend's death, I ignored the audio file until a few weeks before   writing this. I somehow recently decided that I needed to retrace what   had happened.

Driven by my desire to know what caused his   untimely death, I opened the properties dialog box for the audio file,   without opening the file to listen to it. Within the comments section of   the metadata, he had written, "binaural tones, i added the necessary   frequencies, i know why lavender town sounds so sad, and i know the part   that was missing". Even eerier, I looked in his default audio program   (still without listening to the file) and found the playcount for this   file. One. I chatted with a sound enthusiast online in hope to decipher   these cryptic comments. He gave me some special software which would   analyze the audio in real time and said that was the most that could be   done. This video is a screen recording of me running the aforementioned   software with the original audio file. To this day I have not listened   to the actual audio, as I am too emotionally disturbed by my best   friend, Anthony's, death.

Here have the sequel.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdFZR1kWfLY&feature=related#ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdFZR1kWfLY&feature=related#ws)

Defying my belief that this should be kept confidential, I will share   this in the sole interest of two individuals. My name is Ruben. I have   always been interested in subliminal techniques, regardless of the media   or way in which they are conveyed. However, I did not go looking for   this particular example. No, it found its way to me. It’s certainly no   coincidence that the move ‘Curse’ was introduced in Generation II with   the release of Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions.

Often heard that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover? A sound should   not be judged by the way you hear it. There can be so much more, that   of which the single sense of hearing can not handle by itself. Sounds   are visual as well, despite what some may say. Any piece of music can   alter your state of mind and emotions. What else can sounds do? Maybe a   certain group of individuals set out to answer just that.

New concepts were realized with version 1.0 of the Lavender Town music   released in early Pokemon Green and Red cartridges in Japan. There’s no   doubt that there was interest from the sound team to create an eerie   effect from special inflictions in the music, most notably the high   pitched frequencies which could only be heard by those with especially   acute hearing. Version 1.1 of the Lavender Town music soon replaced its   older counterpart in newer cartridges in order to avoid suspicions.   Perhaps enough data had been collected anyway.

The person who posted the previous video was surprised to find that his   friend, Anthony, had developed a special way to retrieve the frequencies   that were lost when the developed music was redesigned in order to fit   within the limitations of the Game Boy. According to him, certain hints   were left in the music which encouraged him to develop a way to analyze   the sound and insert special tones which mimicked the original   intentions of the music. Although Anthony may have never realized this,   the tones which he added constructed unusual images within the sound   when combined with the original Pokemon music. These images had been   embedded into the music through certain methods of steganography. In   Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, these images were waiting for their   key to be unlocked.

Likewise, two sound files from the Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal   soundtrack fit together in an interesting way. One you are most likely   familiar with; the other you would have only heard if you had listened   to your radio while within the Ruins of Alph. These files can never be   played concurrently while playing the game. However, they can be while   using a computer.

I am not the one who posted the previous video. I will refer to him as   Edwin from this point on. When he looked through Anthony’s laptop, he   copied more than an audio file and just a few pictures. Edwin found an   entire algorithm which Anthony had written which was able to reconstruct   the lost images within particular Pokemon sound files. Anthony had   created the sound file featured in the last video from this algorithm   and a generic binaural beat, which he had downloaded from the internet,   and many viewers/listeners have recognized.

Subsequently after discovering Anthony’s creation (lavender.wav) and his   homemade algorithm, Edwin himself became obsessed with the oddness of   Lavender Town. Despite what he wrote in the previous video, he did not   lose interest. Edwin spent his time up until posting the last video   testing Anthony’s algorithm. He became quite familiar with it and tried   it on numerous sounds from the early Pokemon games. Eventually, he tried   combining the Ruins of Alph music with the erratic sounds that play on   the radio. After running this through Anthony’s algorithm, results even   more astounding than Anthony’s original discovery were found. The   outcome is this video.

To my dismay, I am the “sound enthusiast” which Edwin mentioned in the   description of the last video. This is why I know so much of this ordeal   and have felt the need to write this description as well as post this   video. Edwin contacted me through the internet requesting help with the   lavender audio file, so I sent him a spectrogram program. He began to   send me more and more details about the problems he was facing as time   went on, and I grew to know him pretty well. Eventually, he sent me the   password to this account along with a terrifying note.

“Even after researching the sounds which caused Anthony’s death for so   long, I still don’t feel better about it. It was my fault he died. If I   had just played through my Blue version with him, he wouldn’t have   become so interested in the Lavender Town stuff, we would have just kept   playing. He was my best friend, but I let him down. I wasn’t a true   friend. It’s like I hardly knew him anymore after we went our separate   ways. I can’t stand living with this burden.” He attached the audio file   playing in the video above as well as a password so I could access this   account. To say the least, I was baffled at the time. The day after the   previous video was posted, Edwin was found dead in his room,   astonishingly with no flesh wounds to be found. Had he figured out the   exact cause for Anthony’s seizure? Was it suicide? Both?

Never did he mention any specific details about this audio file, other   than what has already been mentioned in this description. I didn’t want   to have to get involved further in this incident, but as I have already   stated, I feel like it is my obligation. I don’t, however, feel the need   to describe the occurrences that take place in this video. I will let   you decide for your own about that. Keep in  mind, though, that in the   game the scientists in the ruins claim that Unown communicate with radio   waves. What was constructed in place of the Pokemon Tower in Lavender?   The Kanto Radio Tower. I must let you know that this sound file was   created with Anthony’s algorithm with a binaural beat added in the   background. Do the Lavender Town theme and the Ruins of Alph music have   something in common? An accident? Something that could... drive someone   insane?

One more just to make sure you never sleep again.
Hypno in pokemon FireRed is #97 in the Pokedex. Saying in the entry   "It carries a pendulum-like device. There once was an incident in which   it took away a child it hypnotized." I didn't expect what I would find   when I played a FireRed rom I had uncovered on the web. I was excited   since I had previously lost my older version of FireRed. I started the   game with the name I had once before which was "Cassie" since I adored   the name. I chose Bulbasaur as my starter and continued on through the   game like I normally would.
I didn't know what to expect when I was leveling up my pokemon for the Elite Four.
I found a cave hidden off to the side and not remembering it in anywhere of the version I once had. I even
grabbed   my game guide to see if it was on the map and which it wasn't. I soon   believed this was a hacked version of Pokemon FireRed I had come across.   I was thrilled and I quickly cut down the trees and explored the cave.
The name of the cave was "Lullaby's Cave"and it had the eerie   music of Lavender town playing inside instead of the other music I had   heard through out the game. It was the Lavender town music of Pokemon   red. I was a bit scared but I still ventured deeper into the cave.
Excited as I was, I was still scared as to what I might find.   After about two doors I had went through I saw a pokemon but I couldn't   move to talk to it and it walked deeper into the cave. The more I   ventured, the creepier it became. As the next part of the cave was   covered in fog the music seemed to turn a deeper pitch.
I was absolutely shocked by the sight I would see in the next part of the cave.
There was a person laying in front of the pokemon but It seemed   to be tied down. The pokemon came closer to me and I couldn't back away.   A battle scene then was triggered and It was hypno. Instead of being   able to call up any pokemon hypno had used hypnosis on me. After I was   asleep the battle scene ended and the pokemon was standing in front of   my character. I tried mashing any buttons I could to awake my character   but nothing seemed to work.
He started to drag my character over to the girl's and then he   tied my character down. He stayed there as the screen faded to black.
"A few hours later..." It had read.
The cave was darker than it was earlier and hypno was holding   something. It started to swing which I figured was his pendulum. The   place turned red and his eyes seemed to turn red.
Underneath the sprite of hypno it read "Hypno used nightmare."
Then the highest pitched sound came from my speakers and I had to   turn down my volume. It seemed that the girl and my character were   starting to bleed. As a red line came from their mouths as they shook   and after a bit, they stopped and fell as the bodies started to be   covered by a pool of blood. Hypno stood there and he seemed to start   laughing and the screen faded to black only with his sprite standing   where it was.Text started to appear underneath hypno.
It read "Oh little children you were not clever. Now you'll stay with me forever."
The game then faded back ot the opening screen and It only had the option of New game but no continue.
Hypno is a psychic pokemon who seems to have a dark past with   him. He was my favorite up until that point. I hope that someday...I   will stop waking up to rope burns on my wrist.

BAH ! A creepypasta thread ? A stupid thing designed to make you FEAR situations that will never happen ? Weak spirits !

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

also, on the topic of the pokemon hypno, there was that forest in the new islands of FireRed, when he brought that little girl inside. I will let you think more about that.

HE WENT TO THE STORE AND THERE WAS JUST BLOOD ALL OVER THE PLACE! PEOPLE WERE SLIPPING IN IT AND THEY WERE ALL GROSSED OUT. HE TRIED TO GO SWIMMING AND ALL OF THE SHARKS WENT NUTS AND BITTENED EVERYBODY. HE GOT CHASED BY ALL THE VAMPIRES EVER. ONE TIME THE BLOOD GOT A KID AND A DOG. AT THE END OF THE DAY EVERYONE DECIDED THEY WOULD SEND HIM TO SPACE SO THAT HE WOULD STOP GETTING BLOOD EVERY WHERE. THE SCARIEST PART IS THAT THE MAN WAS YOU!!!

Sooooooooo Giggle at the ghostie. Guffaw at the grossly. Crack up at the creepy. Whoop it up with the weepy. Chortle at the kooky. Snortle at the spooky. La Muerta Blanca

I am currently sitting in front of a computer, scared witless. Any moment now, I am going to be killed.

Today, a friend of mine told me a story.

His aunt had taken care of him since he was a small boy, and she told him last night about how his parents died. He did a very fair imitation of her (I knew them both pretty well).

"They were doing mission work in some nasty little South American country when a man burst into the mission hospital one night, terrified out of his mind. He told them that his sister had been killed by a Muerta Blanca, and that he was certain that it was coming for him next. What is a Muerta Blanca? Apparently, it was some sort of bogey-man, something like that dumb chupacabra or something. They called it the White Death or the White Girl, because it was the soul of someone who hated life so much that they came back in their shrouds to kill those who told of them.

The man had been told about the vengeful spirit by his sister hours before her death. It was a girl with dead, black eyes that wept bile. The thing moved without ever actually moving its legs, and it stalked its victims back to their homes. Now, if you weren't already aware that this thing was following you, once it got back to your house, it would start knocking on your door...

Once for your skin, which she'll use to patch her own decaying flesh.
Twice for your muscle, which she'll gnash her teeth on between victims.
Thrice for your bones, which she'll use to make knives to pick her teeth and kill her victims.
Four times for your heart, which she'll wear around her neck.
Five times for your teeth, which she'll polish and keep in a box.
Six times for your eyes, which she'll see the faces of your loved ones through.
Seven times for your soul, which she'll eat whole. You can never pass while you're in her stomach.

She has to repeat this on any mirror or door between you and her.

You can try to outrun her, but she's faster than the fastest man...and if you leave your home while she's knocking on your door, she won't be so courteous when she catches up to you.

Now, the man was so certain that this thing had killed his sister that he had tried to tell the police, but they would not listen. Next, he had tried to tell his priest, but the priest turned him away when he saw that the thing was following him now - oh, that's right, I forgot about that - it can only get you if you tell someone else about it, or you saw it kill someone else. The man, after finishing his tale, stole a car from the mission, and was never seen again."

Apparently, his mother and father had immediately called his aunt about this when it happened. They were found the next morning, skinned and dismembered. Their bodies were covered in tiny, child-like handprints.

His aunt was really drunk the night before, and had told him about that. he told me this story early in the morning today at school, before the cops arrived. His aunt had been murdered that night. I called him later that day, and he told me that he was being chased by someone and that they were now knocking on the door. I told him to stop sh**ting me.

He held the phone away from his face for a minute and I could hear slow, deliberate knocking. A moment later, I heard the door rip from its hinges and the dying screams of my friend...

...Then a little girl's voice spoke over the line. "WITNESS." I hung up.

Three minutes ago, someone started knocking on my door. She has to knock 28 times on my front door, 28 times on the mirror in the hall, and another 28 times on the door to my bed room. She's doing it slowly...I think she wants to scare me some more, let me know that my death is just moments away. I will not run - I couldn't get to my car in time anyway. She started knocking on my bedroom door a minute ago; she should be done any moment.

Nice knowing you guys, it's been fuy5

Who are you to dictate that? Haven't you heard what a CREEPY PASTER is?

It's MEANT to be creepy, that's the whole idea. Creepypastas are supposed to follow the thread of scary stories told at campfires, often more severe.

The fact of the matter is, it had a warning, but you still read it. Your taking offence is nobody's fault but your own. It's not right to report someone because you feel offended.

"Nothing HAPPENS when you're offended! It's not like you go "I'm offended" and the world explodes, is it?"

Either way, I know ACAMS knows that that post was within the rules, therefore not worth reporting and CERTAINLY not worth a ban

Has anyone ever tried staring into a dark room/hallway from a well lite one, and keep repeating "There's nothing there" in the back of your head until you catch something move?  You never know when that's going to happen but when it does it should freak you out.

It sorta works in the same principle as "The Game".  The more you repeat "There's nothing there" the more your mind think there is something.  And once you see something once, it will never go away.

Apologize if anyone got permanently traumatized from this.

tl;dr just die already and don't bother us with pointless creepypasta

I KNOW NO FEAR, FOR I AM FEAR INCARNATE.
Looked into the mirror lately?  Who do you see?  Grumpy?  Wait someone else is there, is that, JONZU????  Wait WTF IS HE DOING HERE???

So remember kids, don't stare at the mirror for too long, you might start seeing things you aren't meant to see.

That said, if you don't fear anything, then just try my suggestion above.  You may also replace "dark room" with "mirror", or "the corner of your eyes".  As for me, I am too much a chicken to even try what I suggested, because I am so sure it will work.

To be honest, going into a creepypasta thread and expecting anything other than creepy stuff is like looking for non-gory guro. It isn't going to happen, and complaining about it when you were the one who made the conscious decision to do something is like putting your hand into a fire and complaining that it burns. Maybe it could've been spoilered more heavily, but one should be enough to drive someone away, to be honest.

Well, it was on the creepypasta wiki, so yeah I posted it. I also wanted to see if Jonzu would get pissed.

And I think Freeziez deserves whatever penalty this forum has for posting a fiction in the second category.  Which is probably none.

BOT
Anyway here is my creepy story based on Runescape.

I went onto Runescape to PK some noobs. I logged on into World 124 and set out my best PKing gear. This included a Armadyl Godsword. Abyssal whip, Dragonfire shield, Some Sharks, Some Potions and some armour. As I PKed people left and right collecting there fallen items. I saw a Uber noob wearing nothing. I knew he was a looter so i started to kill him. As I pulled out my Godsword to the kill. It went horribly wrong and instead of killing him, I managed to cut his body in half. This never happened in the land of Gielinor. Blood was pouring out of his body and everybody stopped there killing. They had to make a hospital in Draynor Village to try and repair him. He had to be rushed to the hospital but they could not  repair him.

THE END

This had to be posted in here;

I have a Creepy story for you. Its about Lavender Town Syndrome. Its a VERY long read. But worth it.

Overview
The phenomenon of the "Lavender Town Tone" is a legend that involves a bizarre spate of medical cases and deaths from around the country that have been connected to the "Pocket Monsters" (Pokémon) series of games, in particular the first two games of the series, "Red" and "Green". Though the event is largely unheard of due to disclosure laws for companies based in the Kyoto Prefecture, there is a large amount of information that has been brought into the open by a number of dedicated individuals, including 関 内直 (Seki Uchitada) 伊勢 満朝 (Ise Mitsutomo) and 佐藤 治情 (Satou Harue), to whom this page is dedicated. Thanks also go out to 安藤 景忠 (Andou Kagetada) for providing images and animated .gifs of the visual phenomena.
This analysis will discuss the other phenomena that is often confused with the "Lavender Town Tone", known as "White Hand Sprite", "Ghost Animation" and "buried alive model", as well as the semi-related developer-tag that was inserted into the game, and how to safely perform these "easter eggs" in post-first wave cartridges.

History of the Game
The first cases of the "Lavender Town Tone" and associated events were reported a few months after the release of of "Pocket Monsters Red and Green" for the handheld "Game Boy" videogame console. These videogames were wildly popular with children between the ages of seven and twelve (their core demographic), which was no doubt one of the reasons why the "Lavender Town Tone" had the level of severity that it did. In the game, the player takes on the role of a "Trainer", whose task it is to capture, tame and train wild creatures called "Pocket Monsters" for battle. These games, and the two newest additions to the series, "Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver", an anime, manga, figurines, a collectible card-game and home console games have resulted in Pocket Monsters becoming a multi-billion dollar franchise.
In one part of the game, the Trainer comes to a small, out-of-the-way place called "Lavender Town" (シオンタウン). This town is one of the smallest hamlets in the game (aside from the Trainer's own home town), and possesses very few of the services available to the Trainer in every other city in the game - indeed, the location would be unremarkable were it not for the "Pokémon Tower" (ポケモンタワー) located there - a colossal building that holds the graves of hundreds of deceased Pokémon.
It is theorised that, because of this location in the game, at least two hundred children lost their lives, and many more developed sudden illnesses and afflictons - and this does not consider the vast waves of unreported illnesses or deaths whose cause went unnoticed.

History of the Pathology [$HIP]
It was not until Spring/Summer of 1996 that the cases that would eventually become linked to the Lavender Town Tone began to surface. The earliest record of the acknowledgement of the effects of the Lavender Town Town that the author could find came from an internal report made in June 1996 by the company Game Freak Inc. (株式会社ゲームフリーク), which was then leaked by one of its former employees, Ms. Satou Harue. In it, an employee gives a list of names, dates and symptoms - records of children between the ages of 7 and 12 who had suffered various medical problems as a result of playing Pocket Monsters Red and Green versions. Some records are listed below, with the full listing in Appendix A [here]. (It should be noted that entries in the Appendix also include symptoms borne not from the "Lavender Town Tone" [an audio phenomenon] but from the so-called "White Hand Sprite", "Ghost Animation" and "buried alive model", all of which were visual phenomena that provoked similar but distinct symptoms.

京极 勝女; April 12 1996 (11). Obstructive sleep apnea, severe migraines, otorrhagia, tinnitus.
千葉 広幸: May 23 1996 (12). General irritability, insomnia, addiction to videogame, nosebleeds. Developed into violent streaks against others and eventually himself. [自殺]
桃井 久江: April 27 1996 (11). Cluster headaches, irritability. Eventually took mixed painkillers. [自殺]
吉長 為真: March 4 1996 (7). Migraines, sluggish and slow behaviour, unresponsiveness. Developed into deafness, and went missing. Body discovered beside road April 20 1996. [死出]

The document that was circulated internally was the first time that these incidents had been connected with the Pocket Monsters videogames - until then, the cause had not been discovered or diagnosed by medical professionals. Indeed, it is uncertain how the company themselves managed to find the cases related to the event without seeking advice from health services.

Pathology Detail -- "Lavender Town Tone"
The predominant symptoms related to what would become known as the "Lavender Town Town" included headaches and migraines, bleeding from eyes and ears, mood swings and irritability, addiction to the games, unprovoked violence, withdrawal and unresponsiveness, and in approximately 67% of cases, suicidal tendencies. However, these symptoms only manifested in children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old who had reached the area in game known as "Lavender Town", most of whom were revealed to have been wearing headphones or earphones while playing the game (see Appendix A [here]).
As it turns out, the developers of the Lavender Town area had sought to make an area that would "leave an impression on the player", according to Seki Uchitada, who was a member of the development team. Seki claimed that at the time of development, a number of the team were interested in making Lavender Town a little different to the rest of the game.
"The Pokémon Tower is a visible result of that," Seki told ゲームの次元 ("Game's Dimensions" Magazine) in an interview earlier this year. "That, and the fact that Lavender Town is so different from all the other cities in the game: it is smaller, it has fewer people occupying it, it didn't have a gym... and, of course, the music was very, very eerie. In fact, in the first version of the game, we were told to slightly change the song played in the background of Lavender Town ... because our manager told us it would make children upset. The music used in subsequent versions is different."
Either Seki was unaware of the full impact of the Lavender Town Tone, or was vastly underexaggerating how "upset" children would get - no more is said of the music in the article, but there are mentions of Lavender Town's other macabre features (see below).

What Seki failed to disclose to Game's Dimensions Magazine was that the music used in the first-wave release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green was formulated out of an experiment in "binaural beats": using slightly different frequencies of sound, each frequency played in one ear through earphones or headphones, various psychological effects can be induced upon the listener. In most versions of the first wave releases, this resulted in the player feeling uneasy, apprehensive, and mildly disturbed. However, for upwards of two-hundred children, it provoked a variety of disturbances in the brain that went undetected purely because it was undetectable by fully developed human ears - instead, only children fell victim to the tones , resulting in psychological and physiological problems that in some cases led to death - many of which were suicides.

Ready for the next half?

Pathology Detail- Visual Overview

These visual effects are known among programming circles as "The White Hand Sprite", the "Ghost Animation", and the "Buried Alive Model". Each has been found to cause headaches, nausea, and in severe cases, hemorrhaging of the brain and lungs. While around 70% of Lavender Town Syndrome (LTS) is due to the Lavender Tone, the remaining percentage is split among these visual phenomena. This is partly due to the visual stimuli occurring after the player is introduced to the Lavender Tone. It has been theorized that those unaffected by the aural stimulation, such as the deaf or the hard of hearing, make up the remaining 30%. While viewing these models can cause these effects, there are certain methods that allow a viewer to safely examine them in detail.

The White Hand Sprite

Known in the code as WhitHand.gif, this was scripted to appear as a Pokemon on the third floor of the Lavender Tower. It is divided into four separate animations: an introduction (the "cry" a Pokemon unleashes before a battle), an idle, and two attacks. These attacks are unknown, as they are listed simply as "Fist" and "Brutal". While viewing the animation has been proven to be hazardous, viewing the frames of the model has been proven to have no adverse effects. The White Hand is depicted as a shriveled, slightly decayed hand, with surprising attention to detail: flesh is peeling back from the bone, and several tendons dangle realistically out of the wrist. The first attack is the hand balling into a fist, then swinging forward. However, the "brutal" animation is missing several frames: The hand seems to open up, then cuts out. After a few seconds, it reappears, closed again. No record has been found of these missing frames.

Ghost Animation

The Ghost Animation, coded as Haunting.swf, was intended to be placed in several areas throughout the tower, including in the center of a path on the second floor. However, players cannot interact with it, leaving many to believe that it was intended as a "background feature". The ghost animation as well must be viewed in individual frames. It is comprised of 59 frames total. However, after extraction, around half of these frames have been revealed to be the standard ghost model used in Pocket Monsters. Around a quarter of the remaining frames are comprised of static, to produce a "fading" effect. However, interspersed with these bursts of static are several frames of screaming faces, along with images of a skeletal man in a cloak (hypothesized to be the Grim Reaper) and of several killed corpses. The meaning behind these are unknown- While under oath before the Video Games Commission Board, Lead Programmer Hisashi Sogabe testified as to having "No knowledge as to where these images surfaced." Out of all the phenomena associated with LTS, this animation is the most speculated on: In his thesis "Video Games and The Manipulation of the Human Mind", [viewable in appendix C] Dr. Jackson Turner argued that the images were intentionally placed in. Due to their brief time appearing on the screen, and the graphic nature of the frames, Turner theorizes that these were meant to subliminally influence players into becoming more frightened by the disturbing surroundings.

The Buried Alive Model

Often referred to as its code, the Buryman script, the Buried Alive Model was to be found on the final story of the Pokemon Tower, in what has now been replaced with the Marowak ghost. According to the scripts assigned to it, the Buried Alive model was intended to be the "boss" of the tower. Once reaching the top floor, the following conversation would have taken place.

Buried Alive: You're... Here.
BA: I'm trapped...
BA: And I'm lonely...
BA: So very lonely...
BA: Won't you join me?
After this, the battle would have been initiated. Once in
"battle view", the Buried Alive model appears to be a decaying human corpse attempting to crawl out of the ground. It has been programmed to have two White Hands, a Gengar, and a Muk. Strangely enough, a protocol for the Buried Alive's actions after it was defeated were not written. In the case of the player defeating him, the game would freeze. However, a specific ending was written by an unknown programmer upon losing the battle. In this ending, the Buried Alive was to have stated, "Finally, fresh meat!" followed by several lines of gibberish. He was to have then dragged the player character into the ground surrounding him. The scene would finish with a typical "Game Over" screen; however, in the background, an image of the Buried Alive character devouring the player was to have been shown. Especially strange are the protocols for after this scene. The cartridge was to download this image to the small internal memory contained in the Gameboy, overwriting the title screen that normally accompanied a Gameboy turning on. Instead, whenever it was started, the player would view this image as the sound file staticmesh.wav was played. The intended purpose for this effect, unlike many of the other factors leading towards LTS, is unknown.

But the 1st Edition of Lavender's Town Tune can make you feel strange, it is said that only young teens and children can hear these certain "tones" and fully developed human ears cannot. Here is the song;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZOd_gFld9c&feature=player_embedded# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZOd_gFld9c&feature=player_embedded#)
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNJJ-QkZ8cM&feature=player_embedded# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNJJ-QkZ8cM&feature=player_embedded#)

Hear the difference? Top one has a noise that has a bunch of "popping" noise, and the Bottom one doesn't have it.
Creeped Much?

This is a interview. With the man who created Pokemon. The story for his hate to the colour red...

The song that was in part 1 was labeled as “hidoi” in the coding, which is the Romanization of “ひどい”(meaning ‘horrible’ or cruel’), only can be heard in the very early Japanese release of Pocket Monsters Red. It is not in the Green version’s coding at all. Suspecting that Green would sell less, Satoshi Taijiri told the music coders to only put this song in the Red version.
“It was only added in the game to be an annoyance, that’s all.” Satoshi said in an interview. “I didn’t mean for it to…do what it did.” he continued nervously.
When asked what the exact purpose of the song was, he stated: “Before the two games were released, we figured that Red version would sell more, because children prefer the color Red over Green. I never understood why. Red is a violent, angry color. It is the color of blood, why would anyone like that color? Green is much more peaceful. It is the color of leaves, grass, and certain bugs.”
He shook his head and laughed. “I’m sorry for ranting. Anyways, we wanted the games to sell equally, or at least as close as possible. We put ‘hidoi’ in Red to annoy the evi…” he stuttered, quickly correcting himself. “…to annoy the children that bought this version. The annoying song would become word of mouth, you see?” he smiled nervously. “The children would go to their school friends and say ‘Do not buy the Red version, it get’s kind of annoying later on!’” Satoshi said with a laugh.
He then looked serious. “Did I mention that I don’t like Red?” was the last thing heard on the interview recording before the tape ran out.
In a separate interview with Ken Sugimori, the art director for the Pocket Monsters game, he was also inquired about the “hidoi” music.
“I just designed characters and monsters, that is all. I know nothing about the music you speak of, I’m sorry to say.” He said calmly.
“Why were red and green chosen as the colors for the games?” the interviewer could be heard faintly.
Ken Sugimori laughed a little. “Actually, did you know they weren’t originally supposed to be Pocket Monsters Red and Green? It was in fact meant to be one game only, and it was going to me Pocket Monsters Stripes. A little odd, I know, but Satoshi loves stripes for some reason. It was later decided that the game would sell more if there were two separate copies with some differences in them, and that if it were named after colors.”
He then started to speak a bit nervously. “Well, we left it up to Satoshi to pick the colors. He said he would only pick one and let the staff pick the other. He said one version would be green. The rest of the staff voted for red.” Ken then could be heard coughing. “Excuse me. Anyways, the staff wanted red to be the second color. Satoshi was…not happy to say the least with the staff’s choice. He was furious. He just doesn’t like red, I guess. I felt so guilty because my vote was the tie breaker between blue and red.” He started mumbling, and then changed the subject slightly. “Though, this is why there was also a blue version released later on.”
The rest of the interview was off topic.
A childhood friend of Satoshi Taijiri’s, who wished to remain anonymous, said the following.
“I’ve been a long time friend of Satoshi. We have known each other since around the age of 7 or 8. He offered to let me work on his dream game and I jumped at the opportunity to do so. I only worked on the game briefly though before leaving the staff, due to Satoshi’s over-reacting over the choice to make the second game red. I had told the staff while voting to not choose red, but the staff did not listen as I refused to give a reason why to not choose this particular color. However, there is a reason, a horrible reason, as to why he hates the color red.”
“As a child, Satoshi was a bit odd and a bit behind the other children in school. He would always be made fun of.  I felt bad for him so this is why I let him be my friend at first, but later on when we learned that we liked to collect insects, this is when we became very close.”
“As we got a little bit older, I became less interested in insect collecting, but Satoshi was more interested in it than ever. He was almost obsessed with bugs, I would say. The bullying got even worse for him. In fact, there was a makeshift ‘gang’ of bullies in the school named the Rocket Reds. They took pleasure in tormenting my dear friend. Calling him names, pushing him around, the typical childhood bully stuff.”
“One day he had come to school with a small bowl full of water. He walked up to me and showed off a half-grown tadpole he had caught. ‘I’m going to name it Nyorozo! Do you think that is a good name?’ I agreed with him, it was a great name. ‘I hope it grows up into a frog.’ Was the last thing he said before the Rocket Red’s gang leader, Sakaki, pushed the bowl out of his hand.’
“The bowl, being made of glass, instantly smashed into pieces when it hit the ground. Satoshi cut himself on the broken glass as he desperately tried to pick up Nyorozo from the ground. Sakaki pushed him out of the way and stomped on the tadpole, instantly killing it.”
“Sakaki laughed cruelly and wiped the blood and guts off of his shoe on the ground. ‘Little Satoshi, you’re always playing with stupid bugs and frogs. What do you think this is, some kind of make-believe monster world and you’re their masters? Grow up already!’ he said before walking off.”
His hands and the ground were covered in red blood. He sat there on the ground for a while, shaking. He wasn’t crying, he made no noises for a while. He eventually stood up and muttered to himself ‘YUCK! Shouldn’t have looked.”

The most frightening part is that it forcibly scrolls down (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HighOctaneNightmareFuel) for a animation effect (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/InterfaceScrew).

One night, you are sitting on the couch with your GF, and the phone rings.
You pick it up, and a raspy voice says;

Wtf are you doing with my daughter?

You freak out and hang up the phone.

You go back to your girlfreind who asks who was on the phone. You say it was her dad, asking wtf you were doing with his daughter. She says her dad has no daughters and pulls out her dick and roughly ****s your tender pink asshole.

THE END

Neways, I'm writing another horror story, based off of the mysterious Scirocco. If you don't know who he is, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcO7QrJ26gI# (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcO7QrJ26gI#)
Go to 1:36

And there's a few pictures on Google. Neways, I need someone to play a character called Tramontane. Mysterious, but not afraid to be brash and heartless. Someone who can do a cold monotone.

I guess I could, everyone at my school claims I speak in monotone. (I agree)

Well, I'd need to hear your voice. Take your interpretation of the character from the (vague) description of the character, and say a line or two of something you think he'd say.

"The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a lock on the door."

That's my favorite variation.

"My brother died a year ago. I feel bad about it. Sometimes I tell him how sorry I feel. Yesterday, said he forgives me for it."

I think the creepypasta is that. Pokemon has the best ones though.

"The door opens."

No wait, that is my favorite!

LOL you're funny. So, have you actually read Nietzsche, or do you just like throwing that term around?

I have read a bit of Nietzsche, yes. Though probably not enough to fully comprehend the meaning of the term according to the author, but enough to understand the idea. I should read Friedrich's main works again some time and add them to my main collection of great books, who is pretty much just Sun Tzu's Art of War and Machiavelli's The Prince for now.

As I have understood it, it was a man that brought himself above other men by creation (physical, ethical, artistical and philosophical) and joy, and who rejected the common mentality/morality/way of life to create one of it's own. As a result, he was antisocial but had no regrets or anything holding him back in his goal.

Yeah, that's pretty close anyway. You've earned some cool points. I just had to write a paper on Nietzsche.

Anyway.
