I was on youtube lately and you know what makes me mad?! The copyright claims! Almost all of the Robot Wars videos are bieng deleted because of copyright claim by some company nobody's ever heard of! I just wanted to ask you what your view on the subject are, being a Youtuber myself.

I think it's retarded.   If they write something in the description though it may save them

If the videos were ripped in HD from a DVD that's currently on the market, I could see why they would want to remove the videos. If not, what the ****? If you're not offering us a legitimate way to obtain these videos (and for a reasonable price), you have no (moral) right to keep these vids from us. That being said, the law is on their side.

The fact is Youtube does not have rights to have those copyrighted  videos on their website.

All the Robot Wars are in a specific region because they were made in Europe. Meaning most of us can't watch the DVDs anyways.

rip the DVD and remove region information, then reburn to DVD. Ha, a lot of unnecessary work I guess but if you really want to watch Robot Wars that badly.
leaving this space blank until RA3 is released.

Eh, copyright sucks, but people are starting to find ways to get around it - for example the people who upload Guitar Hero or Rock band videos. They were all getting banned a few months back, but now they all put a little bit of text in the description and it seems to save them.

you know where to angle the blame ?? this copyright thing has surfaced heaps since Google brought over youtube

I have my fair share .. they muted one of the clash cubes videos because "a phase in this video was found to be copyrighted" yet I used the same audio in about 4-5 matches before that one

You know, the songs are copyrighted, Google / Youtube is scared of the RIAA / MPAA / music / movie corporations lawsuits and does everything to keep the service running. You'd rather have a video sharing service with copyrighted work deleted or no video sharing service at all?

Another thing, if you look at your Subscriptions on your channel, every day at least 5 of your subscriptions are suspended. Some of my favorite users like Bigal2k6 and glitchboyadvance were suspended due to copyright claims by Viacom!

Some of the videos I have with songs in them were taken down. They stripped the audio out of them. I took the videos down though. It's no fun watching something with no audio.
