In case you have no noticed, posts in Chatterbox no longer are included in your total postcount
Post you have already made still count towards that count.

So let me be the first to say Thumbs up to this change. This is a great way to implement such a change, as it keeps anyone that would loose a large amount of posts happy, while removing future risk of Super Heavyweights that know nearly nothing about the intended function of the forum, RA2. (like me for example)
Great Job Acams, keeps up the good work.

I didn't think that chatterbox posts had contributed to post count for almost as long as I had been here.
-
Yeah, I didn't think they did. Then again, I don't think SOTG would have 1421 posts if they didn't count.
-
It used to be only Playground posts that didn't count towards it. That's why when SotG's house thread moved to Playground, her post count dropped to about 50.
-
Would be nice if all posts already there didn't count.
-
We'd have an enormous backlash, but I reckon that would probably work best, in my view.
-
I agree but I don't think it'd be possible, otherwise I think ACAMS may have tried it.
-
He could make another Chatterbox sub-forum and move all the topics, but that would take forever.
-
Post count and post count ranks are meaningless anyway. Now that Advanced User below my name, that means something, at least I think...
-
It does, I reckon. The majority of the high post count regular members, with the possible exception of Badnik, tend to be the same group who tend to venture off topic a bit more than the norm, your Sparkeys, your GF93s, FOTEPXs, Jonzus, and so on. You might not have as high a post count as them, MNB, but you have obviously contributed a good deal to the boards and the game itself, which is why you received the AU title, I'm guessing. Quality > Quantity, in this instance.

I'm certain there would be backlash from that, in fact in my OP I compliment his decision to not remove posts prior to this change.

You always forget about one, don't you? :gawe:

The thing is, I'm pretty sure most of my posts that actually count have been in the pony thread.
-
oooooh, thats where this thread went.
Well I was giving feedback, but alright.

It's taken me 5 years to get this many posts plus the 1000~ I had on the original forum.
