British GTM member gathering
« on: May 01, 2011, 05:01:45 AM »
Hey, all you Brits! I was wondering - VEVO and I were just discussing how far away we were from eachother, so, I thought perhaps the British population of GTM members could all meet up at a decided place, and then...I dunno, just thought it would be cool, is all. (hehe, that rhymed.) Anywho, if we find out where people are, we can see where is equidistant, so that the two furthest away don't have to go so far.

It's difficult for me ATM, because I live in two places, due to my parents. But by the end of this month, they'll both be in Holmer Green, so I would be there.

Post where you live, and we can see where it goes from there.

That would be useful, as I have no money whatsoever

At the moment, I'm in Edinburgh, but I'll be back in East Fife quite soon once university's done with.

At the minute, Moray to Weston Super Mare is apparently just over 550 miles, so if we meet up at a sort of midpoint between them, which I think would be Carlisle, then that would be the most convenient for everybody. Plus, Scorps lives in Carlisle, so we'd get him in as well by default. =]

The majority of us live more south, shouldn't we weight the location to higher GTM density?

Thats a little too far up north for me, prehaps Nottingham or Sheffield?

Yes, I think about Manchester area is equidistant, but the fairest point would be Nottingham, I think.

I suppose so, that'd make more sense if we were averaging it out. I remember when I went to Cornwall, we had to stop overnight somewhere, it'd seem like quite a faff for the members who were further north, though.

Once we have a couple more people, we can decide, because we'll know roughly where everyone is, and make a fairer decision. Yeah, I think during Summer holidays or in a year.
