Title: ty4er vs Horror (ty4er Wins)

Yep, he challenged me and asked me to make this thread.
I shall need an independant AIer and host

Game Version: DSL
Realistic: YES
Bot weight: Lightweight
Bot type: Flipper, Popup, SnS or Hammer.
Bot restrictions: Max of 2 things from weapons section allowed.
Arena: DSL Blade arena (Hazards off)
Deadline: i guess when both of us are happy with our bots (Might change)

So anyone up for AIng and/or hosting?

if the bots are already AIed, i could host. otherwise. i will have to try my best at AIing without screwing up.

Well, i'm no good at AIng and i'm not sure if HORROR can or not.
If FOTEPEX can AI then i shall let him host.
I just need to edit my bot a bit more and then it shall be under the bot exchange

maybe i should have actually asked for it here instead of just thinking. sooooo... where are the bots?

it might take a while now. the AI seems fine, but i can't test it at all. the bots crash the game as soon as i start a match to see if they work. this is pretty much why i never do AIing actually. stuff goes wrong and i have no answer for it.


EDIT: got it working, matches filmed, edited it in Sony Vegas and is currently being uploaded to my Youtube channel.

no problem.

problem with AIing was this time my game being a bit beat up from all the crap i did with it. myself a clean DSL copy and proper working AI. yay.

Actually i had 2 different SnS i wanted to send but one always havoked and the other couldn't self-right.

wait. SnS + not being able to self-right? SnS as should be invertible.

i have to say here. when i first checked the two bots, i was somewhere certain Horror would win. the match came as a surprise and got me wondering one thing. How is you wedge better then Horrors bots wedge while yours was clearly lacking speed.

It should've been able to self-right but hypnos and astro's weren't big enough and i guess i was a bit lazy with it.

Because i cheated No idea i guess... maybe my wedge was slightly stronger?
I had more weight near that end?
Anyway i have a problem with teh slimbodies as that i cannot see or click the attach button.
know what's wrong?

WAIT! I was browsing this section, and when i look at the rules compared to the bots, Ty4er's bot has more than 2 items feom the weapons section if the thing on the flipper is a beater bar. Ty4er should either:
Be disqualified and the win be given to Horror
OR
Re-run the match with an update of Ty4er's bot.
Stating the obvious, don't mind me...

i see what he means. your bot has 3 weapon components. i did not read this earlier, so my blame there, but you Ty4er, did break your own made rule.

@Ty4er: The 2 typhoon spikes coming out from the sides, and the beater on the flipper make three weapons
(sorry for bringing this up if i am wrong about the side extenders)
@powerrave: I think Horror made the rule

I think what HORROR meant was like you can have a flipper and a hammer on the same bot but it can't be like a pop-up aswell?
Yet i have no idea if he meant like on the actual game; if so then sorry i mis-read it and will you allow me to change it?

you sure? either way, a broken rule is a broken rule. so either the win is given to Horror or there will be a re-run. re-run only if both Ty4er and Horror agree on this, and if Ty4er can come with a bot that is within the rules.

Well it could be either of teh two.
Would you count a DSL bar to be a weapon as i remember reading somewhere that they do damage on the sides...
And why is HORROR not here to help sort this out  :(

DSL bars are originally weapons. that rules counts on anything from the weapon tab.

confusing, tell him to go to this thread ASAP.

I want to know what the ultimate result will be. does the win go to Horror because of a broken rule or will there be a re-run with you both sending in a NEW bot (to prevent any form of cheating).

But if you want a re-run, fine, we will both make new bots, so no-one knows what we are entering, so you can't counter my bot and visa-versa. is that ok with you powerrave, as you are the ai-er?

from my post before this one, you know i am ok with both. This way, it seems that there will be a re-run. I'll go look for the bots when I have some time. have been lacking some the last time and also have the Jonzu vs SSG challenge to host.
