There are three weightclasses; MW, CW and HW, w/ the events split evenly between them. Winners of all events other than samurai elite will be the first robots in line for a seeding in SS4 in the event of a seed withdrawing.
All weightclassesSamurai elite- All-stars competition
- 12 robots in each weightclass, invite only
- The top 4 of SS1, SS2 and SS3 qualify
- In the event of a robot getting top 4 more than once or withdrawing, vacancies that are left will be filled by: 1) the robot w/ the most 5-8th place finishes, 2) the deepest run after a 5-8th place finish (MW only) or the deepest run as the 5th seed (CW and HW), which will then run down to 6th, 7th and then 8th (5th in SS3 will be ahead of the best performing 6th seed in line for an invite)
- First round will be 3 way rumbles, w/ the winners advancing straight to the quarter-finals while 2nd and 3rd place having to fight a redemption round, which is the start of a single elimination bracket
- Will be separated into two heats, each of which is a side of the bracket; winners of the two heats will fight 1v1 in the final after the second heat
Survival of the fittest- Annihilator style competition
- 12 robots
- One entry per person
- First up will be qualifiers, which will either be 1v1 fights or 3 way rumbles, depending on the size of the field
- One robot advances from each qualifier
- In the competition proper, the first round will be two 3 way rumbles, from which one robot will be eliminated and two will advance
- The remaining four robots will then be put into one 4 way rumble, which will then restart as a 3 way rumble when one is eliminated, and then again as a 1v1 final match when another is eliminated

- The top two of each heat will advance to a single elimination bracket, the first round of which will be heat winner v heat runner-up
- In the event of a tie for W/L records in the heats, method points will be used as a tiebreaker (+2 for win by KO, +1 for win by JD, -1 for loss by JD, -2 for loss by KO), followed by head to head record
- Entrants into this event are not permitted to enter the other event of the same weightclass
- Please wait until SSB signups close before entering your entry for this into other tournaments

Bot types (this system will not be used for WotW)If you enter two bots into the same event, both of those bots must be of different types. For example, you can’t enter two verts into the tag team, but you can enter one into each event. This rule doesn’t apply to the all-stars, so if for example, you have two HSes that have reached top 4 in the same weightclass, they will both still qualify for an invite. Bot types are listed below:
- Vertical spinners (includes wedged drums), irl examples: Bite Force, Witch Doctor, Aftershock
- Wedgeless drums (includes eggbeaters), irl examples: Minotaur, Concussion, Yeti
- Horizontal spinners, irl examples: Tombstone, SOW, Gigabyte
- Rear-hinged and 4-bar flippers/lifters, irl examples: Apollo, Bronco, Lucky
- Front-hinged and top-hinged flippers/lifters, irl examples: Firestorm, P1, Push To Exit
- Axes/hammers, irl examples: Beta, Thor, Shatter
- Overhead saws/hammer saws, irl examples: Sawblaze, Skorpios, Starchild
- Crushers/grabbers (clamps in general), irl examples: Razer, Quantum, Kraken
- Rammers, both wedgebots and wedgeless, irl examples: Original Sin, Tornado, Road Block
- Pokers, irl examples: Spawn of Scutter
- Drills, irl examples: Rusty
If a bot has two active weapons that fall into different categories (i.e. Whiplash, Fusion), you will be asked which one is the primary weapon if you don’t state it when you send me the bot. If a config bot’s configs fall into different categories based on their primary weapon (i.e. Bombshell, Tornado), you will be asked which one is the primary config if you don’t state it when you send me the bot.
WotW weapon categoriesIf you enter two robots into WotW, they must fall into different categories as outlined below, due to each of the five heats (STC) being a different category. The weapon categories are STC depending on whether or not the event stays at 20 robots.
- Spinners (verts, HSes, wedgeless drums, hammer saws)
- Flippers/lifters (rear-hinges, front-hinges, top-hinges, 4-bars, any other form of lifting weapon you might make)
- Axes/hammers
- Rammers (both wedged and wedgeless)
- Everything else (clamps, overhead saws, pokers, drills etc.)
Config bots and robots w/ two active weapons that fall into different categories will be banned from this event due to its format
Battle rules- 3 minute fights
- Custom arena: the temple 2.2
- I will be willing to take a fight up to 10 times in the event of a havok, crash or pin ending the fight. If I’m unable to get a clean finish within 10 takes, the bot which caused the majority of the invalid finishes will lose the fight by DQ.
- A havok ending a fight will be counted as one that either KOs a bot directly or causes the bot to be KO’d by its opponent (the opponent scores a KO hit that would not have happened at that exact point if - it wasn’t for the havok), a havok or crash that is the result of a KO will not cause a restart
- A bot will be deemed instantly KOd if OOTAd
- If a bot loses all of its wheels or takes damage which would cause its internals to fall out irl or leaves its weapon floating, a 10 second count out will start
- A bot will be counted out if it fails to show controlled movement for 30 seconds (i.e. spikeballing, failure to self-right, crabwalking but not closing the distance on its opponent). Self-righting attempts from a position which the bot can self-right that are clearly interrupted by the opponent will not count towards the 30 seconds.
- If a fight lasts all the way to the time limit, then a judges decision will take place, splitting 5 points in each of three categories between all remaining bots: damage, aggression, control
- Restarts will now be issued if wedgelocking or other boring nothing is happening stuff takes up 2mins or more of the fight, or if the presence of an opponent causes a robot to KO itself or get KO'd by the opponent while trying to break a pin.
Build ruleshttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1yJ8PnonAH1FY1m5ILG2DdrSzY59IFNmHsSS17F98ZCo/edit?usp=sharingAI rules- Providing your own AI is appreciated but not required
- EternalFlame.py and NeptuniaSys.py are banned
- To use engage tactic, rammers must have smartzones for pushing their opponent, like what TopPusher.py has
- If your bot cannot be AId w/ any of the .py files included in the base DSL 2.6 install, you must AI the bot yourself and send me the .py you used.
- If you use a .py not included in the base DSL 2.6 install to AI your bot, you must send me the .py you used. The exceptions to this are TopPusher2.py and my own custom AIs (LilTurret.py and LilFlipper.py), since I already have them downloaded.
