For some reason that video didn't seem to hurt my eyes. Probably because I've stared at FB's Blinder for a long time (don't ask why). XD

Anyway, awesome work. :D

Hey madiaba? Why do you always put a white period at the end of your posts.

Great Tutorial Sage, one question though, I am trying to reskin the firestorm flipper for my robot, but everytime I attempt todecompile, it says it is not a valid .gmf binary file?

I have tried it with random other .gmf's and it works fine, any clue as to why this is not working
?

For that, you would rework the map in the maps folder.

could be the compiler ?

Serge's is more powerful imo but it can sometimes stump a few people when saving the new files.

I actually mix and match with arena's very commonly decompile with serges, dummy's doesn't seem to get "everything" the arena needs to work. compiling with it seems ok though

Don't quite know but looking at the firestormflipper.gmf It said it was 0kb in size, so I went and found the firestorm flipper in another version of DSL and it was 6.3 kb in size I replaced them now it works. go figure eh

I know your issue then you have tried to decompile it after previously decompiling it thus making in 0kb and un compilable

I know what he did....he double clicked and it replaced the .gmf.....you have to be careful with Serge's latest compiler/decompiler as it will replace it with nothing on double click.

I'm trying to skin the ramplate and extra wide ramplates but I am having difficulty with the .txt files. I cant find it in the main components folder, only under styles.

It's under ramplate1.txt.

Or in Components.cfz. Use the UnCFL in the "tools" section of downloads.

nah it's fine. you're on topic. Don't know what to tell you about makeCFL... I haven't done much modding in a long time.

I'm fairly sure Lu-Tze's CFZ Compiler does the exact same thing, and it can be found in the downloads section under tools:

MakeCFL is also available in the downloads section but I don't find it as easy to use as Lu-Tze's.
