Title: RA2: Stacking and Using Glitches to Build
Post by: Sage on August 03, 2010, 08:01:15 PM
I'm going to be posting a video series that covers everything from the basics to the most advanced glitching, besides the super basic stuff that Clickbeetle goes over in his website. (I'm going to redo all my tutorials I already did, so you will see stuff on here I already have. I would appreciate if a mod or admin deleted my past topics besides the skinning tutorial.)

I can't seem to watch the Snapper Loading video, nothing happens when I click Play. I get a 403 Forbidden message when I click on the link, and Save Target As says it can't connect to the server.

Acams has said that bumping doesn't matter as long as it's a constructive post.

While that wasn't, this is a handy topic with VERY usefull videos, infact I thought it was stickied?

Post by: Sage on February 26, 2011, 12:09:48 PM
@ HORROR, walrisae is a buddy of mine from my high school. I showed him these videos. Giving me positive feedback is in no way a bad thing.

@ Scorp, I wish! The mods aren't cool enough to notice when quality threads should be stickied :D

Just ignore bumping and leave it to the staff to deal with..

1 bump post is not as bad as a pile of offtopic posts about bumping

I can view the videos but they are a bit dodgy.

There is nothing happening on them until i click somewhere on the bar and then it shows me what is happening in the video, but as if it is an image and nothing is moving again.

Did any o that make sense?

Quick question;
How do you minimise the space taken up by drive motors in a Popup? Is there any way to stack zTeks?
Title: Re: RA2: Tips and Tricks
Post by: nightcracker on August 10, 2011, 03:09:32 PM
eFFe loading, and if you're out of space eFFe loading combined with snapper loading.

Not a very clear picture, but shows the basic idea:

@ the royal badger- you can stack them with snappers and stuff, and joeblo also found away to kinda stack them close together.
Title: Re: RA2: Tips and Tricks
Post by: madman3 on August 10, 2011, 03:13:35 PM
Axle loading allows you to mount them in a row, plus using rubbers means you can stack the wheels in the other motors without loading the axles.

eFFeLoading? What is that? Another name for the eFFe glitch or a mix of it and another glitch?

Could you please explain how to?

SWEET Sage, I didn't know that was possible. Is it just a regular stack?

@TheRoyalBadger: Sorry, meant eFFe glitch

Bit of a bump but I need help.

I'm trying to make one of those Psycolone (I think that's what you call it) popups. I can do everything except for stacking the two blacks. I've tried for days and days but it just can't seem to work.

Did you watch my tutorial on stacking? Try different camera angle every 10 seconds or so. Try replacing the first battery and then trying to stack again. You'll get it it just takes time.

I'll try replacing but I can only use one camera angle because of where the chassis is on the chassis shape builder or whatever it's called.

I'm new to this and this is probably the dumbest question ever, but what's the most powerful burst motor. 'cos I use snapper2 but when ever I have an extender over 80cm or anything more than that length, the weapon becomes feeble. It's not to bad if I'm making an axe, but if I try to make a flipper it can't flip anything. Although it CAN self right the robot it's on.
Title: Re: RA2: Tips and Tricks
Post by: R1885 on December 30, 2013, 09:13:13 AM
DDTs are stronger than the snapper2s, but snapper2s make for better wedges.
Title: Re: RA2: Tips and Tricks
Post by: Naryar on December 30, 2013, 09:13:38 AM
DDT is the most powerful.

The heaviest motors are the most powerful in ra2, since weight is the only unit of balance the game has (no money).

Doesn't work that way for weapons though.

You dont need a video... just a single picture, which is on Beetle Bros website. But do whatever you want, and feel free to post it here so I can update the front page.

they're supposed to be static attachment points not motors

"static" of course is to be taken with a kg of salt

Well, it's been a while since I made one of these...

Anyway, after spending ludicrous amounts of time building that blasted HS for GK's tourney

I thought I would share some of the stuff I learned while abusing the ASAS glitch hundreds of times.
