A Small hint when rotating extenders and items
« on: November 06, 2011, 10:32:49 AM »
If you notice, RA2 doesn't smoothly rotate extenders and items. Instead, it does it in jumpy clicks. Each one of those clicks represents 10 degrees. Therefore, if you do nine of these clicks, you'll have rotated your extender 90 degrees. Same works for motors and every component in RA2, DSL and Stock.

(Wow this guide was pointless considering about 99% of people on here probably already know this)

Yeah, when building RA2 rotates everything in 10 degree increments.

Including the forward heading arrow. So your RA2 forward heading cannot have an accuracy of less than 10 degrees.

I didn't know this, I just guessed most of the time. Thank you. [/gratitude]

This may mean you may want a low sensivity on your mouse, as a high one could make it spin more than what you would like it to.

Or use my tool, which supports both rotating in 10 degree ticks, and 90 degree ticks  ;)

I started writing a new, updated guide but it turned out way too long... I need to go back through and make it simpler or people will just look at it and say tl;dr.

I disagree. People will only read it to learn, and so they should pay attention TO EVERY SINGLE WORD. tl;dr is for things that aren't very important.
