Jaw drop vs Map 1: Jaw drop is a flawed design compared to its upgraded counterparts.  Map 1 was impressive though.
Delta V vs Py: Delta V is the only one of the team that can't self-right; I felt lucky to win that.
Afriel vs Young lance a frog: I can't say I see Afriel winning many matches...
Whisper vs Disquiet: Whisper: Silent, but deadly.
Admiral vs Time: I question Bacon's design choices sometimes...
Loveboat vs Assassin Unit LW: Short, sweet, and to the point.
Isotope vs Kilobyte: Bigger weapon won.
Gen 1 vs Plastic hide: Havok named the bots after one of CPHE's opponents last year.  His face when he saw he flipped Gen1 was priceless.

Jaw Drop vs Map 1: Some HW designs are hard to translate into effective LWs and I think Jaw Drop is a good example of that. The MW version should do better.
Delta V vs Py: That was a close match, honestly felt it coulda gone either way, but Delta V's impressive flipper won out in the end.
Afriel vs Young Lance-a-frog: Two good designs, but Afriel with its giant exposed wheels didn't stand a chance against that spinner. Speaking of which...
Whisper vs Disquiet: That went about as well as I expected. Shoulda taken the time to work on a better LW. Jophiel better watch out, though. Now is the winter of its Discontent.
Admiral vs Time: I think Time would have done great, if only its bar was a little bit lower. Or at least angled, like Whisper's.
Loveboat vs Assassin Unit LW: [Titanic theme playing quietly in the distance]
Isotope vs Kilobyte: I guess Kilobyte...  :cool: ...needed more RAM. Seriously though, both good bots. Need to learn from their designs when I rebuild Disquiet.
Gen 1 vs Plastic Hide: Probably the shock of the round, but Gen 1 had no answer to that drum. Well-deserved win for Plastic Hide.

Your chassis was too short in length, so it leaned back and forth too much meaning it could hit off the ground. You did put a lot of power behind that weapon though, which was very entertaining to watch and if it hadnt been so unstable would have gone far. Maybe try smaller wheels next time so you can stay lower to the ground and not lean as much? Still, that boat fight was hilarious.

Come on man, you had ages to test the bot and properly fix the stability. You did put a lot of power behind that weapon though, which was very entertaining to watch and if it hadnt been so unstable would have gone far. Things are looking up for me so far.  Satelite did just as I had hoped and Jaw breaker... performed underwhelmingly.

Jaw breaker vs Pyro: A good fight by pyro.  Just unlucky.
Jabriel vs Discontent: How did your game not crash! That was insane!
Hammatime 2 vs Sexy sloop:  Sigh.
Megabyte vs Gen 2:  Good redemption for Gen 2.

Map 2 vs Satellite: I meant to do that.
Sir lance a gorf vs Yell: Very disappointing. 
Malachite vs Assassin unit MW:  Probably the most entertaining match.  It was close.
Aluminum hide vs Radioactive material:  Disappointing.  I thought a drum would rule this tournament.  There goes a large threat.

Jaw Breaker vs Pyro: See, I said Jaw Breaker would do better. The Pyro bots have been underwhelming so far, but Pyro was doing well until it flipped itself.
Jophiel vs Discontent: I warned you. Holy sh**, that was painful to watch. Probably my best fight since Deathstalker v Blizzard, though. Someone fetch a dustpan!
Hammer Time vs Sexy Sloop: ...remember I said in Death Battle that The Living Whacked didn't have enough power? Hammer Time has too much power, and not enough stability. I've built overhead spinners like that before. Getting the balance right is important. You'll get there after enough practice.
Megabyte vs Gen.2: Another good bot redeemed after a disappointing first-round performance. Just like Kilobyte, Megabyte's weapon just wasn't durable enough.

Map 2 vs Satellite: CHRIST ON A BIKE, THAT FLIP
Sir Lance-a-frog vs Yell: Yell put up such a good fight, even after losing its weapon, and I thought it was done for after it lost its wheel, but it just barely held on long enough for Sir Lance-a-frog's batteries to run out. A shock, perhaps, but well-deserved.
Malachite vs Assassin Unit MW: I thought Malachite had this in the bag, especially after such a strong start, but the assassin pulled off an excellent endurance win, resisting Malachite's blade long enough for it to break. Again, a bit of a surprise, but well-deserved.
Radioactive Material vs Aluminium Hide: I thought Aluminium Hide was gonna pull off an even bigger upset than Plastic Hide for a moment there, but full credit to Radioactive Material - it did what it had to, and in record time too. Still probably the favourite.

I'm honestly quite surprised my bots won a few battles. I mean, all I cared about when making them was making them as identical as possible but in different sizes. I think I did too good of a job on that part...

What Doesn't Kill You Makes You... Weaker?

Reverse Evolution is the same bracket as the original tournament, but run with Heavyweights in the Qualifiers, and then decreasing in weight for each subsequent round. Just so all the Heavyweights and Cruiserweights that were made for the tournament actually have an opportunity to fight.

Genuinely surprised that the Badgers Angels team came last again. Then again, the lack of traction really killed it in situations where it needed to move.

I feel vindicated and reassured now, although I don't believe any of the fights were easy for the Lance a Frog bots.

Congrats to Kurt for basically running 2 tournaments in the same space as 1, the concept was something unique too and hopefully is repeated. :smile:.

For a bonus match, I accept Rob's invite for a HW match, but I want to also suggest a tag match - King and Queen Lance-a-Frog versus any CW/HW combo from anybody else who participated.

Thought I was in with a good shout after Discord ripped Echo open, but there's no shame in losing to the eventual champion. Well done, DSC, and well done Kurt for getting both tournaments done so quickly.

I'd like to request a HS rumble: Discord v Polonium-210 v Monarch v Terabyte. They're all pretty similar in appearance so let's see which is better.

So do any of you actually want grudges and rumbles? Good. Grudges will be a team against another team, using all four robots in four head to head matches to determine who is the best. Rumbles are just any three/four robots you want to put into the arena together. Weightclasses don't matter in rumbles.
