Weekly Challenge Tournament

I have been discussing on discord about the idea of weekly building challenges. People said it would be a good idea but it would be better to have  a tournament at the end of every week. There is no entry limit this week as it will basically be a case of seeing how many people enter. Big thanks to Hop for offering to record.

Standard IRL Rules:

1.    DSL-IRL ruleset - Robots must look as close to real-life designs as possible/insides must NOT be clipping through each other nonsensically. (Batteries inside motors, flippers passing through insides etc)
2.    Heavyweight limit of 800kg.
3.    No Mechavore/Minion/Microvore/Mini Minion discs.
4.    No EternalFlame.py or logic.
5.    No more than 1 Beta Burst/Motor, 2 VDMA R/P Bursts/VDMA Front Hinged/Storm Burst on your robot (depending on which one you choose, don’t mix and match).
6.    If your weapon clips through the floor while trying to self-right too many times then it will be deemed immobilised.
7.    No servos UNLESS you can AI it yourself then feel free to send me the servo bot with the AI.
8.    No excessive extender spamming/stacking (Extenderbots are allowed of course but if you use extenders to armour your bot….no, just use the armour panels!)
9.    All Cheatbot2 parts EXCEPT Flat Motors and the Overkill motor are banned.
10.    No weapon spam or stacking. (like 8 spinning discs etc or putting teeth on top of each other)
11.    No Steel 10 armour.
12.    No meltybrain or clusterbots.
13.    Swiss Army Bots are limited to three different weapon systems. The main chassis of the robot (armor, drive system, etc.) should not change between configurations.
14.    RA2CF and DSC IRL packs are allowed and are encouraged for this tournament, along with skinned components.

This week's theme will be "Raptor Gang"

Rules:

I have stripped the DSL 2.1 version of Velociraptor down to just chassis and drive/wheelguards, (link below)
You are NOT allowed to remove any of these components, but with the remaining weight you are allowed to add weapons, upgrade the armour and any additional extras. At the end of the week, the raptors will fight it out in the DSL Tournament Arena to show respect to the DSL raptor. This will be a Single Elimination Bracket tournament to keep the first one simple. But the flipper arm is too thin. Once that's off, a robot can **** Peak Raptor.

Tbf a lot of robots have thin weapons or little support. As it's the first week I wasn't too strict on the IRL rules, next week's will be stricter though.

This week's theme is Pokemon as requested on the discord. You have to build a robot with the name of a Pokemon and make sure the robot is easily associated to the Pokemon you are building it around. The arena will be the Robot Wars 2016 arena. The format will be like a Robot Wars Series 3/5 heat with a final at the end of it.

The 'Raptor Gang' should be filmed this week, however for this tournament and the future ones until I can figure out a way to record in a better quality the results will be posted on the Challonge and screenshots will be taken of the fight and uploaded. Deadline is Friday at 6pm, with the splashes, bracket and results uploaded that weekend. Good luck!
