Very happy with Angstrom's performance there although its self righting issues in the first fight may not bode well for later fights.

Orc's Wars Series 2 will start sometime after the New Blood series is finished...which will be by this weekend I reckon (one more heat and the Grand Final)...so keep your eyes peeled! Glad to hear you are enjoying the series too!

Some scary bots in this Heat that is for sure! Also good news...The Grand Final is coming...NOW.

Thyrus, Tashic, Mystic, Hoppin, Roboteer, Arcane, MrBK and Badnik...one of these bot builders will get the 24th seed but who will it be?

Well first of all:

Congrats to MrBK and his robot Slash for winning the New Blood tournament: enjoy your 24th seed!

Now onto the BIG news: Orc's Wars Series 2 robot submissions will begin on Monday the 29th of January 2018!

For the first week (29th January 2018-4th February 2018), I will be accepting a MAXIMUM of 3 robots per person. Do not ask about following weeks as future entries depend on how many I get in the first week.

I will be accepting a total of 96 entries for the qualifiers (not counting seeded bots if you have any already).

FORMAT FOR OW2:

There will be 12 heats, all based around the RW10 pattern
2 Threeways, 1 robots wins
Redemption Round - 2 robots go out
Semi-Finals (this bit is important) - 2 robots advance to the final, 2 robots go OUT
Final - 1 robot advances to the Semi-Finals, 1 robot gets into a wildcard heat

Right so that'll be 12 semi-finalists in OW2...however, there will be 2 Wildcard heats that function as a mix of RW8/9...
2 threeway melees with 2 bots going through
4 way round robin, with the 2 bots with the highest points going through, giving us 8 robots per semi-final

Semi-Finals:
4 head-to heads, 1 robot advancing from each
2 head-to-heads, 1 robot advancing to the Grand Final

Grand Final:
2 head-to-heads
1 Playoff
1 Grand Final

RULES:

1.   DSL-IRL ruleset - Robots must look as close to real-life designs as possible/insides must NOT be clipping through each other nonsensically.
2.   Heavyweight limit of 800kg.
3.   No Mechavore/Minion/Microvore/Mini Minion discs.
4.   No EternalFlame.py or logic.
5.   No more than 1 Beta Burst/Motor, 2 VDMA R/P Bursts/VDMA Front Hinged/Storm Burst on your robot (depending on which one you choose, don’t mix and match).
6.   No servos. If you can AI it yourself then feel free to send me the servo bot.
7.   No excessive extender spamming/stacking (Extenderbots are allowed of course but if you use extenders to armour your bot….no, just use the armour panels!)
8.   All Cheatbot2 parts EXCEPT Flat Motors and the Overkill motor are banned.
9.   No weapon spam (like 8 spinning discs etc).
10.   No Steel 10 armour.
11.   No meltybrain or clusterbots.
12.   Swiss Army Bots are limited to three different weapon systems. The main chassis of the robot (armor, drive system, etc.) should not change between configurations.
13.   RA2CF and DSC IRL packs are allowed and are encouraged for this tournament, along with skinned components.

HYPE! After doing poorly with money bags I hope I'm more successful here. Also are we going to get any side events because I think having cruiser, middle or super heavy weight competition would be sweet

I was thinking of making a 4 bar lifter (like Storm 2 or Biohazard), by using a Storm Burst and a VDMA. Would that be allowed? as it would technically be mixing and matching
I thought I'd better ask before I started building
