UPDATES!!!

Today and tomorrow... Expect some new vids! Also thanks to some advice from Click, they will be shorted down to around 5 min matches to allow for better playback - no unnecessary chunks.

Also just wanted to say a huge congrats to those who've competed in the BBEANS and those who've won. A job well done on that part and to Click for taking the time to make it possible! May there be many more tournaments (and hopefully I'll be able to enter the next one -.-).

Currently HTML, XHTML, CSS, Actionscript 3.0, Python... some others that I can't think of atm.

Btw, sorry guys for the delay, I screwed my video playback quality while trying to compress it (Using windows media profile editor). Currently trying to fix that.

Edit: Using windows LIVE movie maker... I think that's just half of the problem right there. Oh well, New vid is up!

I hear that is nowhere near as good as the XP or Vista versions of WMM. I'm not sure if you can get either of those versions to work on Windows 7 (which I'm assuming you have). If not you may need to find something else.

Also, I'm going to start finishing the ELBITE arena now that BBEANS is over. Never fear.

Awesome! And as always please take your time on it. I greatly appreciate what you're doing to help me out, I don't know if I would be able to get this going as smooth without you guys

I also was able to download Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (in all honesty the Live software SUCKS!) and now everything is suddenly compressing and playing at the smallest framerate save of some quality. Definitely compressing the other vids as well.

No idea, my game's been doing that for a loooong time. I think its because the Fight sound clip that goes after the countdown is a home made one. I liked how my laughing announcer sounded so I just stuck with it.

I finished the arena!

Everything is to spec according to that pdf you sent me, as near as I could get it.

The tesla coil rises from the floor after 50 seconds. It takes 7 seconds to charge up, at which point it shocks any bot that drives on that metal plate in the middle, dealing 20 damage to all of the bot's components (so the more components you have, the more total damage you take). It also continues to charge up another power level every 2 seconds after that. There are 5 power levels, and each one adds 20 damage, so if you get hit by the fully charged tesla coil, it will be dealing 100 damage to all your components. That doesn't sound like much, but if you have weak extenders anywhere, or weak chassis armor, it can hurt a lot. The electric shocks also fling bots away towards the edge of the arena (but not enough to throw them OOTA, don't worry).

There's just one problem. Bots with hinged wedges putting pressure on the floor interfere with all plus.force() applications, which includes the tesla coil rising from the floor and the coil flinging bots. For some reason plus.force() doesn't do anything unless the wedges get lifted off the ground a bit, either from driving or flipping. However, this problem appears to be unavoidable as it also happens in the Combat Arena. You'll just have to deal with it--in any case, the tesla coil can usually still rise up as long as the bots keep moving.

Click: Amazing work once again click! As always I appreciate your efforts -single tear-. Since I'm almost done with Tournament 1, I will continue using the old one, however on the FINALS of Tournament one, I'll make the 'transition'. And like you said, no excuses now XP.

The match between Sparkplug vs Kulpa is actually done. I just have to put it together. I was able to get my USB cable back for the external drive that has the matches on it (little brother needed it for his nintendo wii), so I will ~~push on to make some more tonight~~ spend all night working on the remaining videos. So don't be surprised if I'm still on this site early in the morning (though it would be assuring if someone is still logged on during that time). Now back to work! -runs off to finish vids-

@ Daemon: I simply need some time to put the vids up there, it may take me a couple of weeks granted that I also have college life. I have been thinking about it though, ~~perhaps once we start tournament 2~~ and after Tournament 1 is complete, I will post the Tournament 1 videos on youtube and then proceed with Tournament 2 on this thread. Hopefully I will have my site revamped so you could watch videos there as well, but I'm not going to make any promises until that time comes.

EDIT: I also cleaned up the page for easier navigation, Took out the empty tournament stuff, its not needed

I actually don't crawlers too, but I'm a student right now, so I can't spend some time learning DSL. Anyway, I built crawlers that really sucks, cuzz its unfair when they win.
