It would be interesting if ball itself could have some sort of an AI "beacon" and bots would chase it and maybe one bot from each team could play goalkeeper.? Idk, sounds complex, but I guess it's feasible.

I have talked about such an idea with Mad and tried to make a solution myself

Stagfish: please in future work out everything before starting a tournament idea thread, tournament idea threads should not simply be vague and "are you interested" it needs to be written as if the tournament will be starting straight away, full rules, explanations, etc

the topic will stay for now,

we have others (notably Trov and Mad) putting work in here so there is no need to throw around threads and make it harder for these guys

no other tournaments can be started in 2009 anyway (meaning brackets and videos, discussions are ok) if Jonzu gets his out of the way, you can always work on producing one together, but you cant force somebody to close there discussion because you simply had the idea that you haven't put into play yet.

Well people are making AI so i'm sure they will come up with something evenchlely. By the way do the AI treet the ball as a hazerd beacues if they do try to make them only want to hit the ball towards serton areas that sort of thing.

I cant see that working since it is impossible to score a goal with a robot.

just throwing an idea out you could have an SnS tournament using standard FBS_1 and the python Mad made for dropping balls at a constant rate or turning off the hazards (makes all balls start on the ground)

have a 1 min match and which ever robot gets the most goals wins

it would work as I have done it before, the only thing would be the "boring factor"

We should have a SnS tournament in the small arena. That would be fun to watch.
