Yeah not dead.. I would have posted some kind of update post but I dont know where the sign ups thread went :P

Mac's has all my fun editing stuff though :P once I get the game running smoothly itll all be good :)

Wow I didnt realise this was a 2014 Tournament.. I thought it was just last year  :embarr


So this is my attempt to make things right, because if their is 1 thing I dont want.. that is to drag CC's prestige through the mud with an aborted tournament.

Ive dug through all my PM's and my computer archives and finally imported all the robots and taken pics for the splash (which is now in the first post)

Ive also made the skin for the Combat Zone, its fairly simple but tributes CC1's arena skin nicely


Give me a little bit to find my feet with the AI but I hope to have some videos up really soon!

See no evil is like the beta-hurtz of tournaments after enough tries its bound to successfully start :/

Yeah, it's nice seeing this back. How well would those designs work in DSL 2.2? Think this was a SNS tournament because I can't imagine that this was the DSL main bot type before the update.

Right, ant batteries(which for some reason were great in DSL, while stock still had supervolts and nifties used instead of pinks) flails are that fragile now? Was hoping to build some, and yeah heard about the non normal weapon nerfs.

I did know that those bot types would be dominant but didn't mean that everyone would only enter SnS in a normal tournament.

This tournament was DSL 2.1 SnS only.. hence the tacky pun. :)

Clash Cubes 1 (and to an extent CC2) was dominated by Somebody's (the user) SnS hybrid. This tournament was originally a celebration of the 5 year anniversary of Clash Cubes 1 (which is now 6.5)

Thought so, also only later realized that Clash Cubes is about having that small cube chassis(thought everyone just did that to save weight for weapons).
Personally I like building stuff like that because it offers a completely different Robot fighting game which goes more into the direction that I would imagine(fight until you break a bot's Control Board or Immobilize them by destroying the Batteries instead of reducing the chassis hp to 0).
Front Hinged Flipper winning? interesting, thought that design wouldn't allow for OOTA's(which is how flippers will win the most time) unless you build it Firestorm like.
The chassis isn't exactly built for a popup but that doesn't mean one can't add the wedge shape.

The youtube channel they were on went down years ago im pretty sure? but I do have backups of at least all CC3 and CC4 videos.

Anywho we'll jump back on topic here and ill open up a new thread and put some videos up.

Okay a few little updates..

• All robots are AI'd ready to go
• Video Template(s) are also ready
• Slight venue change (I know your not technically meant to but this tournament is already blown past the timeframe rule so..)

Basically the combat zone has a too large floor space and these SnS robots are finding it hard to KO each other.. so to try and add some excitement to the matches ive reverted back to the Clash Cubes Arena (from CCIV) with a quick little makeover

At least now the robots are in close proximity and OOTA KO's are achievable

I dont think so.. It was slated to come out with CCAI 2 but it never came to light..

I plan to bundle up a few bits and pieces ive made soon and come up with some sort of release.

Given the size and heavy delays I wont do a seperate awards thread or anything like that but I want to thank everyone who entered, it wasn't a terribly popular concept but I appreciate those who supported it.
