Are there any bot restrictions?  Like no SnS, no crawlers, no 1WD, etc?

Also, is Retooled meant to be DSL-S style or Stock style?

Retooled is DSL-S. As for banned bot types, I will update the OP with them, later. Until then, everyone making bots, be good sportsmen :P

It's just being closed minded for the sake of nostalgia to not try it. Like if someone said Chaos 2 is better than Apollo because they're used to it.

I hope to build for all classes for this, despite my massive deficiency in Stock.

Imagine Stock building without the glitches and balanced parts, then you get IF(minus the ballast part), it might take you a bit of time to get into it, but it's a nice mod, as for Retooled, build something that works and enter to see what happens, noone really knows much about it, so it's completely new. Imagine it just like the first Series of Robot Wars(except that we know that armor's needed as well as srimechs)

Okay lads. I know literally nothing about Ironforge. Downloaded it for the first time a couple days, I'm literally as lost as I could ever be.

But if we're speaking about unlimited slots here, I'm gonna have to try something, hopefully in every category, for this special occasion. It may not be big, it may not be impressive, and it'll definitely go out in a huge blaze of disappointment. But competing regardless is really, at the end of the day, the spirit of it all, isn't it?

(it's not going to be a series of sftw meme joke-bots. i'm actually gonna try to make something with my limited-as-hell knowledge and it'll suck)

Ironforge LW is 125 kg.  However, you get up to 4 "free" ballasts that don't count toward the weight limit.  You don't have to use all, or any, of the ballasts.

I may re-enter a very very old Stock bot into this. Basically the only Stock MW I've ever put into competition :)

It'll be just like Robot Wars 2016. Unchanged old bot from like 10 years ago entering again.

I was thinking about that with IF, but it's best to not do any sudden changes I guess.

Why? Every other Ironforge tourney allows 4-ballast LWs. It's not like adding an extra 50KG to your robot that doesn't do anything is OP.
