Hy guy's
I got a little bored making normal bots and this is the result
Ow yea the weight is 745.3
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/86617Le frog.JPG)
Hope you guys like it
-
Oooh, a new member. :welcome
I love the bot. However I will say:
I see square extenders. Don't use them. They are the same HP and have the same connective options as regular extenders, and are much heavier.
We hope you enjoy your stay, and make sure you pay special attention to the guys with coloured (non-black) names. They're the better members of this forum and they all know what they're talking about ;)
-
Is the name a "Flushed Away" reference?
Anyway, good to see another more unique robot around here, and a new member! Welcome- I'm GF93, the resident madman around here. Enjoy your time here
-
Cool bot, can it move forward?
Welcome- I'm GF93, the resident madman around here.
I'm sure that's madman...
-
...lolwut
What's the weight? oops.
What armor did you use? Also that's a bit too many black batts, 2-3 should suffice.
-

I'm sure that's madman...
I'd say I'm a bit less sane =P
-
hey
thnx for the welcome
it was just for the balance, it jumps perfect like this
-

Weight is in the original post, I don't know what armour he's used, however. What armour have you used?
Oh and there is a special glitch called DSA. Basically you don't select what armour you use, and you automatically have DSA. It's the weight of aluminium and about as strong as steel.
-
Well its plastic because of all the motors i needed and bats, and its just for fun no weapons
it has enough power to hop like 5min, after that it's unstable
-
Hah, looks awesome. Good to see people building fun stuff! And welcome, enjoy your stay :D Let me know if you need anything or any help, etc. (:
-
Welcome to the boards.
Robot looks particularly mental. I can imagine it doing quite well in a Tabletop match, it could just jump straight over the opponent while it launches itself off the side. Not sure what the Mini Wheels are for, I might get rid of them. Nice work, though, who cares if it's inefficient.
-
k
there are
8 burst motors to jump and move forward
1 burst motor to help flip the bot when it is on its back
2 drive motors for the wheels so you can turn when you are facing a wall
and its a pain in the but to make one jump stable
-
I love it!
-
Ribbit.
^
Most un constructive post evah,
-
DO WANT.
-
Because frogs are automatically awesome =D
-
Oh, a leaping bot... that's rare.
Anyways, it's overpowered. 4 black batteries will be enough for this.
Also Scorpion has earned 10% warning for a totally unconstructive post.
...What ? We're both villains after all, and Evil is (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilIsOneBigHappyFamily) NOT (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DefiedTrope) one happy family. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EvilVersusEvil)
-
I knew you'd do that.
On topic part I was gonna put in my first post:
You've actually got quite a tight chassis there BTW, try and keep your chassis as tight around your components on any other robots you make in the future, it saves a surprisingly large amount of weight.
-
hey guys thnx for the tips, but i think i can build a bod pretty good
like this to start with
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/17681Bat Body's.JPG)
i only want to know how to make a ai bot
hope you guys like this aswell
BACK ON TOPIC
it really needs all of the batteries as counter weight of the front legs.
besides, this way you can jump for an long time.
-
The last one - Whaaaa? XD
The first one uses square extenders - don't use them, they weight more and for no extra benefit. (They have the same hp as the black/red ones).
As for AIing, there's a decent chart to give you a little insight here - https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/8459AI-Chart-2.3.rar (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/8459AI-Chart-2.3.rar)
-
thx craaig ill try it soon
can i post all my bots here or must i make a new topic?
-
All your bots here, keeps everything nice and tidy. Nice frog by the way :D
-
thnx martymidget for the compliment
here is the next bot
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/5417Black Box.JPG)
its all stock parts
-
Lots of vulnerable parts there. Are you trying artistic or being serious?
-
Not too bad actually.
Few things to consider:
-Don't use steel, use DSA instead (it's stronger for less weight)
-You don't need 5 snappers, you can use SnapperII's (AI parts) and they can have a few AP's for the motors to go on.
-You can add extenders and eFFe the weapons on (however extenders may make the weapons come off quicker)
-Those snappers will come off easily, you can actually make the chassis bigger to fit them in.
fixed by nary cause overheat boy doesn't know his stats well
-
lol RPJK
no it really works well, k the engine's fall off when you have a good hit, but its not easy to land one
+ you must get through the parts to hit the body
-
so random...
anyways, you can use a few less snappers indeed, and you should try to make it invertible.
-
It hurts my eyes... D:
-
hey ty4er
-what is DSA?
-i know the snapperII bud i want to keep it stock, still thnx for the tip
-yea i must make a second one with the eFFe glitch bud damm that take's time
-Well if i make the chassis bigger it's more weight, so if that DSA stuff is light enough to make the snappers go in
then i must make a new one (damm this one was hard enough to build)
-
-what is DSA?
Oh and there is a special glitch called DSA. Basically you don't select what armour you use, and you automatically have DSA. It's the weight of aluminium and about as strong as steel.
-
hey ty4er
-what is DSA? Double Strength Aluminium, you just have to ignore the armour tab completely :P
-i know the snapperII bud i want to keep it stock, still thnx for the tip SnapperII's are AI parts that are in the game, you can get them in a few people's sig's with them as normal parts.
-yea i must make a second one with the eFFe glitch bud damm that take's time hey, building takes time and patience, that's how some of the best builders are where they are.
-Well if i make the chassis bigger it's more weight, so if that's DSA is enough to make the snappers go in
then i must make a new one (damm this one was hard enough to build) Just make it in a new space so you can save the old one if you wanna keep it. And a bigger chassis means more HP, so you might survive potential 1HKO's.
-
Snapper2's are stock. They come with RA2 Stock alright, and are not cheatbot2. They're just hidden, so you can't use them in the botlab with the original RA2.
They are just unused in any stock AI bot.
-
thnx guys im learning allot
-
k, i just build this
its one of my favorite designs, yes i stole some ideas from other ppl bud i have never seen it in this config
and i think its one of the best
its not done jet, but im going to bed
now its DSA armor and i have allot of wheight to play with
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/49056The Thing.JPG)
-
DDT Wedge? Can it self-right?
-
ofcourse
With the flippers and the wheels
There are 2 wheels attached to a snapper2 burts
i have made the end of the snapper pointing down
and the weapon can force it in some direction
-
Looks like PiTA 8 mixed with R4. I like.
-
Looks very nice. You've got the basic setup down nicely. I would attempt to move the ramplates outwards slightly, to better protect against horizontal spinners. I'd also try to trim the chassis around the batteries at the back, to give you a bit more weight to play with for weaponry. I wouldn't have razors pointing outwards, they're not going to damage the opponent there. Overall, a very nice job, especially for a newer member. =) Well done.
-
Very nice work there.
-
How have you mounted the drive on the green snapper (pics please)? It looks either uneven or you have some AGOD going on there, both of which will hamper your bot's performance.
-
I like them, especially the frog. I tried building something like that one, but it wasn't as good as yours. I always thought it would be awesome if you could cover the bottom with spikes so it woud do damage if it landed on the opponent's bot.
-
k i have completed my thing and called it "The Thing V2"
its smaller, more armorplating, better mobility
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/55174The Thing V2.JPG)
and thnx for the tips to improve it
-
AI robots rarely attack your robot's back, so you are better off using that ramplate's weight elsewhere.

And that means you can get away with using a single snapper and use the weight for a layer of armor above the current front armor you have right now.
