Is there a reason for the pole spikes instead of razors?

they're more durable?

The whole point is to "not" make contact with them see?  You lose 1 the whole bot collapse.  You want something as cheap and small as possible.

I think the spinner part is better with Tribar.  No point spending that much kg when tribar only has collision on 1 of it's 3 bars anyway.

And since you are already using Red 140, you might as well use square 140 in replacement of the black 120.  If you gonna make a point you should take it all the way.

I am thoroughly confused at how you managed to get those weapons floating. Does it involve the 140cm red extenders? That would explain why you talked about how people may think they're cheap. As far as I know, no one thinks they're cheap or illegal, just kind of pointless since you could get basically the same thing for 5 Kgs.
Yep, those are red 140s, they are 70 cm long, but still have the 2 attachment points floating at the 140 cm. The deal is, that they don't have a collision hitbox for the missing 70 cm, but the cost is 35 kg sadly. If you don't have anything attached on the floating ends, the bot will just fall, like it is a regular 70 cm extender.

You used those? I found them a long time ago and couldnt think of a good use. Are they effective?
Depends, IMO, they have a place only on a SHW or UHW bots.

Geez venko chill out.

Well since you have the drive armored and stuff it doesn't look like a cheap norris bot to me. In fact I think it's pretty cool, using the invisible extenders to help feed HS into the weapon. Sweet.

Is there a reason for the pole spikes instead of razors?
*cough* a potential "The 100 Most Memorable RA2 Robots Of All Time" candidate, the first effective bot using a red 140s *cough*
As for the my "warning", I just made my stance for equal rights for all the 140 extenders. And that's a natural reaction, when every new innovative bot of me is considered for "CHEAP" lately.

The whole point is to "not" make contact with them see?  You lose 1 the whole bot collapse.  You want something as cheap and small as possible.
QFT, I just needed the strongest component with the smallest collision hitbox. Losing an extender is not a problem - "Mad's & Sage's ATOM bot" bumple ball mode : activate  :trollface

0(lack of) bars/extenders still avoid the hits better than 1 tribar bar  ;)
Of course, that I can spent that red 350 kilos for a better bot, but that wasn't the point.
I just wanted to build once something that uses a red 140s, this bot and the 2-3 with a square 140s, are probably the last bots, that I built using a buggy and highly unbalanced hidden beta components.

Since, there is a massive rain of a "Child's play" clones lately, I want to post something new.
Behold, people like Nary-"The unsure one, about Venko's stock epic building mega-uber-skillzz" and other nonbelievers :

It have many weapons, no one can survive more than 2 hits.
This popup is probably the best stock popup so far/for now)! Due to 2 reasons :
1. This bot can do a thing, that I considered impossible before few days : it totally outwedge the NF (a bot with a superb DDT wedges) with a use of snapper2 wedges, AI vs AI, in a direct wedge contact. I'm stupefied, even scared, from my wedges building 1337 5|<||15.
2. It beats (very often) the above bots ^ (and every other, that I throw at him), which can be considered a PitA to beat with any popup (or even any other bot type).
One day, this bot will be a legend probably.
Are you "convinced" now, Nary?
The pics are censored, and they will stay in that way, as long as I compete in a tournaments, even a small sneak peek at my innovation will lead to a rain of clones, which I don't like. When I succeed to proove my stock legacy in the realms of RA2 for the eons (and I'm about to leave permanently), then you can have that bot (and the others as well) and copy it or whatever.

How did you get 123's SnS??
123 sent it to me, and i sent it to him.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

I seriously hope this isn't the "underground" wedge thing that was completely banned in DSL 2 years ago.

Of course instead of red extenders, you use either typhoon flag or t-minus arm in DSL.

It's not. These red extenders are just missing half of their collision mesh. Nothing underground, just technically more difficult to break them because you can't hit them.

I don't mean yours, I mean his.

And while I also have a really stupid way to make consistent underground wedge in stock, it is not at all practical.

I also had this idea in my mind, but in the end, I just realized, that it's not worth it. I also had an idea of using the red 140s on a SnS.

Nope, everything is "legit" in here, nothing goes "underground". As for the "stupid way to make consistent underground wedge", I know what you talk about, but sadly it is useless and it will be probably banned on sight. So, I'm concentrated on a legal and not cheap wedges for now
And may I ask you something that bothers me? I though you are a busy man (with all the modding and stuff), "why" with the sudden interest/subscribtion on my showcase (you are not much into stock anyway nowdays)? It's not a bad thing, but I'm just interested why.

A tribute to :SFTW :

@ 123savethewhales : You didn't answer me. You don't visit stock showcases usually, but anyway...

OK, this "Venko's recipe for an awesome wedges" is getting too scary. I built a MW "Get low" bot, and it turns out pretty good. It's not that good (but still can beat them) at defeating the SnSes and HSes (no weight to protect it better), but it still have a 2 superb snapper2 wedges. It usually rapes the NWB, and sometimes even the NF :

[slobber]Where is your god now, oh "manly one" Nary. You, the unbeliever in Venko, the one that don't want to add me as a bot type specialist in the wiki, and some other stuff.  :p Don't hide among the small French shadows, unhide and tell me what you think about these bots. Embrace my manly stock greatness.[/slobber]

Nary is still hiding, anyways...

The "building styles" thread stole my time for a detailed explanations, so :

I used MidF for this as a base, so no need for the insides. It's very stable actually/hard to flip/no havoks, considering, that it have a very low center of gravity and it spins. The trick here is, that the chassis is high above the popup's smart zone, and it don't trigger the popup to fire, if it's with .py AI that fires on a chassis collision only  ;)

A tribute to my UHW/crawler begining/roots...

Sweet bots. The anti-popup HS is a pretty common DSL design, cool to see it in stock.

I don't know if I speak for anyone else, but I tend to use the NoChassisTime parameter.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything
