My best Lightweight:

Black Death is a rammer with a free spinning disk mounted with 4 spike strips and four razors. Reverse Angle motors for drive.

My best Middleweight:

Crazy Canary has 3 regualr Z-techs with three iron spike on each. Reverse Angle motor for drive and can destroy any stock robot in RA2.

Any comments or criticisms would be apreciated. :)

first one- looks ok. would be better if you were to put the disc on a motor. looks like a redbird would fit.

second- dont need the pink batts. chassis could be smaller.

better then some peoples first post. keep building.

for a start, not bad at all.

As a general rule, instead of using pink batteries, use a single nifty (orange) battery. It lasts longer and is the same weight as 2 pinks.

Also, 1 black battery is generally enough to power most middleweights. In Crazy Canary, if you remove the two pinks, you will save 16 kg's, which might be enough to upgrade your drive to something better, or your weapon motors to HPZteks.

Good first bots. With more practice, you'll only get better.

I was thinking of giving CC hp- z-techs

Dont think I have the weight to power the disk.

you do if you dont use those spike strips, and use something lighter.

Super Storm is a 6 HP Z-tech HS with DSA armor and can defeat any stock AI obviously.

You should swap out your 2 nifty batteries for another black one.

Also, you should download Starcore v1.0. It will give you a pretty good challenge. Once you can beat all the bots in all classes there, download v3.0. With tougher competition, you should improve :)

My advice:
Put more ART work in skin of the bots ;)

I have starcore v.3, I manage to beat nearly all the heavyweights with a lot of strategy, and now I am trying to beat them with brute force.

Looks good to me, Is it invertible? I reccomend getting Starcore AI now, you seem ready for it.

I will, and FF is not invertible so to speak, but I managed to wire the motros to go the same direction, so when I am upside down, I can press a button and the motors will start spinning and eventually flip the bot over when enough kinetic energy is going the same way. :)

For FF, should I flip the motors upsidedown so the weapon is closer to the ground?

Been a LONG time since I posted, so here are three bots I designed.

First up, my best LW:

Skeletal Seagul is a strong Lightweight HS with 6 iron spikes for weapons, and DSA. Can defeat every starcore 3 its been up against (I have only fought half of them with it) on the first or second try.

Next up, my best MW:

Oozing Osprey is a powerful Middleweight HS with 12 iron spikes, DSA and 1 blackk battery. It can defeat nearly all starcore 3 MW (The ones it hasn't beaten I have never tried) on the first or second try.

Last, but not least my best HW:

Trashed Turkey is a strong HW HS with 27 iron spikes for weapons, DSA, and 1 black battery. It can defeat nearly all the the starcore 3 HWs it has faced, which is about one third of them. I have extra weight that I wanted to use on a stacked battery, but after about an hour of no luck I just gave up. Do any of you guys have any tips that may increse my chances of stacking successfully?

Any comments would be apreciated. :D

I'm wondering if Skeletal Seagull is better than my own LW HS.

Your MW is pretty good.

Trashed Turkey has HUGE wheels and is underpowered. Oh, and since you have them, use these snappers II instead of servos for it. But- not bad.

I have the same issues as you for stacking - go at the BeetleBros's RA2 building tutorial, there: http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm

for the turkey, I think the motors dont have to be on servos but axle mounts i think there called, and the motors you only need 2 servos, one holds 2 motors and another one motor, or maybe 2

axle mounts would alow the motors to spin freely, bad that would be a bad thing.

Ok, Ill say a bit about all of em.

Skeletal Segal- I would switch the positions of the snapper and the nifty and turn the drive motors around. Also attach the z tek off of the lower attachment point on the snapper to make it invertable.

Oozing Offspring- Get rid of one of the snappers. Attach the two spinners off of a t connector on the lower attachment point. That will give you more weight and make your invertable. If you want you can give it hp drive if you switch to a nifty.

Turkey- Somehow make the entire thing off of 2 snappers and make it with 4 spinners with 3 irons/maces. There are MANY setups you can do but you'll have to learn the snapper loading glitch. Just click on sages or torfaccs sigs.  If you just want to keep the servos attach the drive off the back attachment point on two of the servos.

DUCK YOUR THINKING OF BASEPLATES.

no not those, the ones you mount weapons on or motors, not the wheel axle

thats not true. snapper loading is not needed. in fact, absolute chaos and ultimatum do not use any snapper loading at all.

Hello everybody, haven't posted in my Stock showcase in a long time. (Back when Sage was still called the RA2 Wizard.) Thanks to Sages video (snapper loading) I give you, Killer Kondor:

Killer Kondor has 36 iron spikes powered by 4 HP Z-techs. It can defeat all the Starcore bots that it has faced so far. (There are so many of them.) Its major weaknesses are its plastic armor, instability, and horrible turning. It is my first bot built using snapper loading. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. :D

DSA I can do, Invertibility will take some more thinking.

Invertibility, at least, looks like an easy problem to solve.  Just flipping the weapon motors over might be enough.

oh, okay maybe it wont be so hard. I also know that I can trim down my chassis a bit, probably enough to use DSA armor.

If allowed, I am planning to enter a joke entry, a bot that I had already made. If not allowed, then I will probably enter an already made bot.
