Rusty is much better. Next step is replacing all your angle connectors with regular extenders. It saves weight and provides more places to mount weapons.

Also, replace the ramplates with snowplows, adding more extenders to spread them apart if necessary. This provides for a wider defense for less weight. You may need to rotate the extenders so that the snowplows face forwards. Ideally, you want a setup like this...

...where the black extenders represent 60cm extenders, the red one is 40cm, and the square ones are 20cm (note: do not use square extenders that aren't 140cm long; they have the same HP as round extenders for more weight, except for the 140cm ones, which weigh 5kg). Both ramplates and snowplows have 1000HP and varying sizes, making them equally applicable in their own ways. In this case, snowplows are preferred thanks to their width. This will take up more weight if you use it, but it will help protect from those meddling horizontal spinners. For the wedges, you could either use the blue SnaperII's or use a Snapper2 (the blue snappers weigh 13kg, while the Snapper2's weigh 22kg); a DDT is best suited for a weapon, not a wedge. as for replacing the angle extenders with regular extenders, remember that each small interval in which components are rotated is equal to 10 degrees, so to rotate something 90 degrees, rotate it nine of these intervals, often called "clicks".

I can see this bot coming together quite nicely. It is already improving, and quickly, too. Then, once you get good, you could learn to AI and enter tournaments. Keep up the good work, Tommy!

How well does the mega plow work for a lifting device?

Rusty 1.2 could use a few more weapons. Put some more on by using the side points on several 20cm extenders instead of one long extender

Is Sit'n'Spin'n'...Stuff invertible?

They don't work too well as lifting devices. But seriously, making this a flipper would end up being a waste of weight, hence why I suggest you use a SnapperII instead of a DDT. If you can, you could also try to add one more razor to each hammer arm, assuming you use a 20cm extender in place of the angle extender, although don't worry if you really don't have the weight..

Yup, and it was pretty hard to get the chassis height compatible with Z-Teks and use Shinies.
I'll be presenting us 3 ALL NEW robots as well, each very different in design.
Stay tuned! ;)

Pardon my double post, but it's important.
I've only thought up of 2 new robots, and they may be the last ones i will showcase in a while, for I intend to do a DSL showcase.
So here they are. First, my signature bot T

And the innards:

And here's the truly vicious Death Grip:

And his innards:

That's all for now, be on the look out for a DSL showcase of wierd, ineffective bots.

LW looks really good, but on the HW 2 Blacks will be enough to power it.  ;)

Death grip looks nice, but you really don't need the weapons on the back. Most AI scripts have the bot meeting the other bot head-on, so these rear weapons are of little use.  Also, put some kind of front shielding on the bot. This could either be snowplows or ramming weapons, like the ones on the back. As I said before, hammer bots have weapons that attack from the side, so they need some kind of frontal protection.

I HAVE RETURNED!

I've been trying to get Death Grip up to the weight limit, but he's STILL under-weight.
Does ANYBODY have ANY suggestions on another type of bot I should try and build?

Try a Vertical Spinner. Those are fun.

Wow, I was actually thinking the same thing! Stay tuned, you may find a rather "interesting" design coming your way.

I'll work on that a little later. In the meantime, here's my VS, Vertigod:

As always, DSA.

The reason I used ballasts is because the huge weight of the weapon system meant the robot kept tilting foreward, sometimes even doing a cartwheel if the weapon touches the ground.
Also, the Samurai Swords act as stabilizers.

Nice bot. Although there are things that need improvement. First off, turn the Z-Teks 180 degrees. The discs will help to block attacks on them. Also, angle extenders aren't very good since they are heavy and don't have that much HP. Your only option is to find a way to spare 40-50kg for either plows or ramplates, since any good or long-reaching HS has the potential to rip the exposed extenders right off.

In what way? I know it's not the prettiest robot in my showcase, but stock bots tend to look kind of "messy", to say the least.

This thing has far too many batteries. A single black will power it fully, two blacks will ensure that it stays strong for the full three minutes.

Try to use the blue Snapper II's instead of the servos. Snapper II's are lighter than any servo, and, being counted as burst motors, can be adjusted more easily than servos.

Razors are good weapons, but they aren't commonplace on 36HS. In fact, I made a 48HS that used 48 razors (it is in my stock showcase and is called Razing the triBar). More ideal weapons for a 36HS include maces, iron spikes, and bear claws*.

Those wheels are not stock wheels. They are custom components, which are, more often than not, banned from tournaments. Replace them with either shiny hubs or grannies, if shiny hubs don't make the bot invertible.

*Beware, bear claws have damage normals. These normals are on the tips of the claws, so make sure that these are facing the direction in which they spin. Irons and maces do not have these rather crippling normals.

Re-read these:
Read this.

And this.
That's a good try, though, as it is technically a 36hs. rnifnuf said everything that needs to be said.
I... I think I've quit. Lurking and posting where I feel it's needed from time to time. I was never particularly good, but I tried. Never really succeeding, but trying all the same.
