XD this reminds me of when i first started playing ra2. guess i'll say it: your first step is to try to minimize chassis space. that will make you a LOT harder to hit.
-
Someone's been playing CS:GO.
-
Okay so i introduced him to the game and I let him go nuts. I only told him how to make things and did all the designing and actual building.
-
Okay, so then we can take this seriously.
I would recommend learning a few of the building fundamentals around here. The basic ones and easiest to start with is shaping your chassis to the components you plan to put inside it - so that there isn't any extra space inside which ends up being wasted weight. Additionally, try to use all the available weight in a useful way (with more drive, exterior armor or weapons).
Once you've done that we can probably move along a step and get to more stuff to help you really get going.

This robot is my best so far.

When making any robot, you need to aim for the weight limit. You are shamefully underweight. Always think about design, too. That saw in the middle is not doing any damage and I'm not sure if the saws on the side are any better because of the way the chassis is designed. It seems you made the chassis that way to shave off weight and make less empty space, though, so it's good you were listening to madman (or you disregarded it and went for a cool chassis.) I'd take a thorough look through tutorials on the forum if you really want to make a good and efficient robot.

IM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will post some awsome robots soon WATCH FOR THEM!!
      :approve: :approve: ;)
anyway..
You have to keep your planned BotM entries a secret. (implying you were actually serious)
As for the bot, Delete all the pinks, Correct me if wrong but I believe 2 blacks is enough for this. Unclick the "Snap to grid" feature (on the chassis design screen), and shrink your chassis around the components. The other members can take it from there as far as advice.
-
simplify chassis shape and extender work. it is needlessly complicated for no good reason.

I'm not quite sure what is going on with that last robot, static, but I'm pretty sure that, with the way those spiked balls are spinning, it isn't gonna work very well, you probably need them to spin towards the target, rather than parallel to the target. :ermm:
Now, time to watch the flame war commence... :argue_smilys: :popcorn

I'd always recommend only giving advice if you're sure of what you're saying :p
