SM's Stock Showcase
« on: December 21, 2009, 04:02:01 AM »

Here are two stock robots I made
This one needs to be built to the weight limit, advice wanted

maybe the srimech could double as a hammer?

This was made purely to kill small robots when I first began to understand stock.

constructive criticism appreciated.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

That's my custom DSL battery! Don't have it in stock!

For Blockbuster, stack in a black battery. And is that 1 DDT for all the razors?
My above post explains everything about everything.

Second design is cool, but would work better in DSL.

i <3 the second design.

so it captures them in U shaped part and swing the hammers and fires the pistons at the same time.

looks fun to play with.

What you could always do (would make it harder to operate, but yeah) to make it much more trappy, is have the hammers starting closed, so you fire them when you wanna get something in. Then the opponent gets stuck as the bursts have closed on it.

I dunno if that's the approach you wanted to take on that bot, but that's what I would try.

I tried that, v.hard to time it right and th hammers placed on the sides allow for a wider "funnel" shape

i see :P. Ooh, another spontaneous idea (ruins the funnel thing, and probably the whole point of the bot - sorry :P) is get 2 servo pistons/linear actuators or whatever in place of the bursts, and trap them with the pistons (move whatever you're using across the gap). This wouldn't do any damage though... and probably fails hard :P
