Long topic title? Eh...
WARNING: HUGE PICTURES CUZ' I'M LAZY AND CAN'T CROP...
Anyway...Ever since I put up my old (and crap) bots on my idiotic showcase...I tried to ATLEAST experiment... Hopefully, I improved a bit. Probably not...But anyway...If you are at all interested in these (which you shouldn't be), I'll get some more up later.
First bot... "Full of Fail"

Gosh, I feel so stupid for doing this...Anyway, this bot was supposed to be a "run-in" bot. Sadly, I fail at doing so. So, it became a spinner-poker. The good thing about it is it can keep going up-side-down. Where the spiked clubs can "deflect" ramps and hopefully break them off. I had no idea why I placed those picks there. Anyway, to me, I sort of like it. Also, it's quite spacious.
More to come...Possibly.

Don't use square extenders.
-
Not cropping isn't so bad. We are all happy you converted them to JPG. :D
Your bot lives up to its name. But you already knew that. Heheh. Fat tires get lobbed off easy... Spacious chassis is a waste of weight. The smaller you make the chassis, the more weight you have to spend on weapons before you reach the limit. Nate is right, square extenders are inferior to the other round ones. Your drive motors are good though. The pinks are not necessary though.
Look around in the showcases and get some inspiration. I think you will improve just fine.
Also, in case you didn't know. Don't change the armour on your bots. Leave it at the default and it will be DSS (double strength aluminum) which is the best to have in stock. Don't change it because you can't change it back after you made the adjustment.
Work on making your bots a bit leaner and more destructive... and you will excel.
*edit: XD I totally typo-ed there... DSA... not DSS. Thanks Somebody*

*cough* DSA not DSS *cough*
I think that we have a new forum emo at least on par with Takatsukiyayoi.
You will get better though, no worries.
-
Well, thanks for the advice. I'll go try to experiment with it later.
Well, here's a second bot. Based on some IRL bot I saw one day.

I forgot the component view so I'll get that later.
Anyway...Snaggle Tooth. Two versions. 65 degree razors and something that I call "Trapping clubs" for snap motor bots.
It basically runs on two wheels, have little room for extras, and is VERY fast. This thing will fly if gains enough speed. But yeah...I like it.

Icepicks are the FAIL,fatboys are FAIL and spike clubs fail on a rammer,Because they do not do damage on the tip.
-
Fatboys do not fail, they have decent stats, but there are other better choices here.
The icepic is useless here however.
Ignore the bit about clubs. They do damage everywhere.
-
Are you NUTS?YES.Clubs suck.Try them tip facing oponnent,ON A RAMMER.
-
Clubs do not have normals. They will work. there are better choices though. (Irons)

No, Skeletar, please ignore Avalanche's and Sparkeys advice if other people disagree (as they are usually ore accurate).
-
And build to the weight limit.
-
But try it.If they can do damage with the tip,SPIKE CLUBS STILL SUCK.
-
Not really. They are just longer, heavier maces.
-
@Skeletar ignore Avalanches rage, he, can, umm... yeah.
@ Av. please stop saying FAIL so much, you will get more respect, leave this to the others.
As for the bots, to much empty space, I like your style though.
-
Well said sparkey.
-
RFS will like this guy, if he ever comes back...
-
he is still around on the ARC forums, he is workin on RFSAI
oh, off topic, you should join ARC, it's perfect for you

Mind if I ask what ARC is?
Also, I'll fix up some of the stuff here. Thanks for the advice.

Ah...Anyway...

Rat-Grinder.
I tried to experiment with this one. I added about 3 blacks for extra juice. I also added some up-side-down anchors...Dunno if that violates the stock parts. Can also have axes or w/e at the top to break away slammers like Jackpot! and Raptor.

It looks like you have DSL parts in your game, which are considered custom parts, and thus cheating, in stock. Keep the two separate.
With that aside, this can run fine on just one Supervolt, believe it or not (too lazy right now to give more tips; someone else fill him in).
-
You've used a DSL only attachment point on the baseplater anchors.
-
Why didn't Pwn posted here already ?
Anyways, i have seen much worse from newcomers, so you might want to change your showcase's name.

Anyways, I wouldn't describe your bots as bad, per se--it's more like you're just not as far along on the learning curve as some of the other builders here. You know what you're doing, you like experimenting, and you have bots that are as good as you need them to be (beating the stock AI). The next step would be to get an AI pack (RFS AI is tougher than stock but still not too hard, Starcore AI offers an immediate high challenge level, or BBEANS AI has a nice mix of bots of different strengths) and try to beat those.
