@Natef:
If you didn't notice, I edited my post with an inside pic of Nobody Nose. Hope you are not disappoint.

I'm so gona try that now (punching someone).

I think that if Nobody Nose had had better armor it could've gone farther.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

IIRC, it lost to Event Horizon, which was basically too low for me to hit properly anyway

IMO, I don't think that you would've had a chance against Event Horizon anyways.

Sorry for double posting, but I felt like it was OK to bump my thread, new bot, it's named Pretty Cool Guy [EDIT: I'll just remove the post above, it's nothing important anyway]

because I think it's a pretty cool guy. Eh kills bots and doesn't afraid of anything.

Far from finished, it's a very generic popup design, but with the best wedge I ever made - first bot I built that has better wedges than NWB, thanks to Clickbeetle's old Mythbuster thread, and my idea to put a spike strip into a ram plate for both damage purposes and heaviness up front.
It also uses 3 10kg ballasts up front to improve the wedge

The awesomeness in this bot is where you see 4 razor tips, I see 18. No BFE, AAM, anything, just the Francesco glitch (did you know eFFe's real name is Francesco, his surname starts with an M and eFFeeMMe is basically what FM sounds in Italian? Fun fact!)

18 razor tips, 2 stacked black batts (Spent more time stacking the batteries than actually building the rest of the bot, can't we just ban stacked batteries?), spike strips Francesco'd inside the ram plates, DSA armor

Any ideas on what to do with the remaining weight, without altering the effectiveness of the wedges?

Oh, yeah, and I know about the wasted space, especially around the driving motors, but when an idea pops into my mind, I want to start building right away instead of spending ages to fit in the motors exactly.

Some battle shots:

It has the ability to one-hit KO when all spikes hit the chassis, but most of the time 2 or 3 hits are needed, and because Warlock is so heavy, it took me about 6 or 7 shots to relegate him to dead weight regions.
(Did you know that when I KO a fellow popup, 10% of the times the final blow comes from the armed wedges? Fun fact!)

Use blades instead of ramplates.

Good statement:
You should probably use blades instead of ram plates, because [insert reasons here]

sh**ty statement:
Use blades instead of ram plates.

Because they protect the wedge extenders for less weight and taking up less space.

I kinda like the idea of them weighing down my wedges, for increased wedge effectivity, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe ram plates have far more hit points than blades

They are much better at protecting your wedges. Blades really don't do much, in all honesty.

@ Sage, it kinda ruins the point of a wedge though when there's something blocking it. Using the chassis to stack weight on works easily as well. I never really liked blades anyways, I'd only use them whens there's virtually no other way to invest my weight since I don't see exactly how it protects the extenders.

It isn't blocking the wedge. The wedge still gets under, because the Ramplate isn't doing anything to stop the wedge on the end.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

True, the way he has it it does kinda block the wedge, but if he moved it back a bit it would be fine.

Whoa, you should see it in action. At first I thought bots would get their wedges stuck between my wedge and my ram plate, but both slide right under. The ram plate doesn't interefere at all.

Good bot.

Regarding what to do with the extra weight without affecting the wedge:

You can add some ramplates to the front for chassis armor.  There should be room for a baseplate anchor somewhere in there (try shifting around the ballasts).

Also, 18 razors is a little overkill.  You can really only stack about 4 or 5 razors in one spot before damage reaches a plateau.  I would recommend spreading the razors out in a row a bit, or cut down to 8 or 10.  Both options will save some weight for extra armor in front, which will help against spinners.
