Red's Robotic Hall of Lame - Stock Edition
WARNING:
The robots in this thread may suck real balls. Don't point out the obvious.

-----

Here's the first of this showcase. Synapse.

Additional Notes:
My strongest non-popup LW.
Breaking off the disc reveals a D:< face
Semi realistic. (Unsure if the razors clip the rear wheels)

Well, I wondered about the rotator bar... think I decided to go for the disc for lower weapons. And more of them.

But the extra razor on this disc is intended.
Without it, the bot's stuck upside down. With it, it can spin back on it's wheels.

For rotator bar put 1 angle connector (45*) on each tip and add a razor , it gives more low hittings (Y) :)

Kristjanq, you probably shouldn't give advice untill you know a little more about RA2. I'm not trying to swat you hare, but some people don't like it.

As for the bot, it's chassis is a little large. Maybe you should stick the HPZ on a snapper, it'll increase the speed, and you can shrink your chassis to get some weight for more weapons.

@Kristjanq: NO.

@Redline: I don't like that unbalanced weapon on a HS. If you reduce the chassis size, you can get rid of that vertical razor and change to irons. Or maces.

FOR KRIST SAKE NO NOOB ADVICE PLZ.

might be better with a smaller disc and irons instead of razors, so the disc isn't hit as easily and doesn't fall off as much. plus the weapons will have more HP. no srimech though.. but HS don't really need it as much as other bots.

EDIT: i hope someone gets my little play on words..

Try to skinnify the chassis a bit. Also, Kristjanq, that would make it overweight.

@Kristjanq: please don't give bad advice.
@Redline: I like the idea, but that off-center razor worries me.

I think that if you manage to get extra weight, use it on putting a razor on the opposite side for stability.

The bot is actually very stable. Well, yeah, it does sort of do a slight floor humping motion, but it keeps to the floor in it's current state. Within LW bounds, ofcourse.

Guys, I'll see what can be done. For now, I'll get another bot in this showcase sometime.

Good news, OK news, and technically bad news.

The good news is that I finally found the connection point under the tribar, making it tilt inwards rather then outwards. Finally. That took 4 years.

The technically bad news is that I might be able to have lower weaponed Tribars now, but I have no bloody clue what to do with them.

The OK news is that I'm dumping 5 minute bot splashes into here. Let me see the hate!

Yes, the splashes are a bit bigger then they could be. Deal with it. :|

HMH - A black is definitely enough for that. And the usual blah - squeeze in some more, add more spikes with the extra weight blah.

CT - You can chip off the front corners, but I dunno what to do with the free weight.

EBN - A black is also enough for that, and I think you can add a snapper wedge if you remove the casters and squeeze the parts in some more.

[Edit] I think you might want to try SCv4 right now. :P

I gotta move up to SC3. Only on SC2. SC2 doesn't even use DSA... there's bots that use saws.. and some of them are even pretty much forced to be uninvertible.

What Pwn said excepted that 1 black is not a lot on a HW with 4WD HPZ drive.

get shinies on HMH and more weapons.

Heavy Metal Hero: It's wider than it should be. You can make it skinnier and cut off some of the back chassis since you don't need that Nifty. The Slippers aren't needed either because that means you made your chassis too high. You should save a lot of weight from doing that to add more weapons.

Chaos Theory: Hmm... I can't really find any major flaws on it, but you might be able to stack that Baseplate Anchor and Control Board inside that Nifty for extra weight.

Enter Bot Name: One Black is enough, and having those Slippers means your chassis is too high, use Shinnies. Those Castors on the bottom won't save you from a gut ripper since there is still a lot of the chassis still exposed. I would remove them and with all the weight saved, I would add (a) wedge(s).

Chaos Theory...thats really coincidental that Vertigo002 had a bot just like that named Chaos Theory. Not Accusing! Just funny.

All of your bots are solid.

I think it had to be done.

Reminds me of what I did with Big Flip and Double Damage. I made it smaller, light enough to be in the weight class below, yet nearly miles better.

Also, first ever competent VS!

If the HPZ's were skinned black then that would be the coolest bot i've seen in a while.
