Finally got the time to rebuild my old sucky true popup. Lurch, 2 blacks, 12 razors, 8 ramplates. Great wedges (better than Seism 13 but worse than Hot Wheels), but a bit inconsistent in damage (since I overlooked the distance between the razors and the ramplates) but can OHKO bots if lucky enough.

Oh, and don't mind Waldo. I was bored at that time. :P

Wedge feels really steep to me. Also, T connectors r4newbs! And 2 blacks seems a little lacking.

But still cool over all.

Yep, the 50-degree wedge is a bit too steep for my liking, but 8 ramplates counter the sucky angle with additional wedginess (and 40-degrees would make the ramplates sink into the chassis, and I'm too lazy to rebuild the whole thing again).

And I used T connectors on this one because I have a feeling that it won't drive straight if the setup is asymmetrical (like your Jaya).

Also, didn't Altwitude have 50-degree ramplates as well? :P

Sweet popup.

@NFX: If he did it for the same reason that I did (for the bot in my sig) then its for additional damage and further protection. Blades do more damage than ramplates and having them angled like that is putting something in the way of a direct hit to the DDTs (look at how far he extender them and how far the DDTs stick out).

But now I know how to give my bot shinies so it can drive straight. And how to save weight overall. You have no idea how many times You, R0B0, SD and Sage (among others) have helped me out without knowing it XD. So thanks for that guys :P

Those DDTs are gonna get raped by a HS. Also those blades are too small and to heavy for frontal protection. While you've got enough of them to make good protection a ramplate is much lighter.

Sure it's not the most efficient build ever, but... it's... just... the COOLEST stock popup i have ever seen ?

And maybe Pwn just ignores common stock building rules (which he knows more than you I am quite sure) to build something original ?
