i get it that you don't have much depth to work with, but exposed weapons on a design like that is very bad.

well it was a shot with the weapons fired out, but i failed at timing so i couldn't have the pic be when the pistons were at full extent, i'll rebuild this one eventually anyway

Been trying some designs as my entry for Back to The Roots, but i'm unsure which one to pick:

All have DSA and 1 black

Bladed Jaws: V-shaped ram, pins stuff nicely, but popups and gutrippers in general will own this thing
Chill Wind: Pretty good undercutter, not invertible and vulnerable redbirds tho
Deuterium Oxide: Nice little VS, but low weapon weight and has slight stability problems, but lifts stuff off the ground pretty good

Can we get a bigger picture of the bots ? Right now we can barely see anything.

i like the bottom one a lot. i'd probably try to open the arms a bit more on the rammer and get shinies on but i dont really know what the restrictions are for the tournament

So... in an attempt at working on a stock member for Trios of Terror II that isn't uber-generic ...while this forum gets torn apart by andrew s'existence again among other things, have a side popup: Firewall

DSA armor, may have to redo that side snapper setup so it gets the popup spikes into play easier

always try to segment your extenders in stock. all of the extenders in stock have the same hp, so it's almost always better to use multiple 20cms then one of the longer extenders.

if you dump the pink and the empty space around it you should be able to free up enough weight to get rubbers/make a shallower wedge. wedges are also a little on the short side, so extending them couldn't hurt.
DSL-IRL is the libtard’s meta. Go drink more soylent, retard! #BLUELIVESMATTER

at first it had 140 cm extenders for the wedges, but then said wedges were so long they'd prevent really small bots to be wedged up once they were de-wheeled, reduced to a chassis and waiting for the killing blow, also i don't get how segmenting the extenders would do anything useful since it won't infleunce the time it will take for my wedge component to be removed

The advantage is minor yes, but it's still a free advantage and takes like 2 mins.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

So... after getting my ass handed to me by an OP and bullsh** bot type in crapcan derby i could have been a little bitch and prepare a popup for Battle Arcade... but i refuse to give in to this stupid meta and imo people who only build and enter popups/hs are uncreative and boring people (not to mention lack of skill in some cases), so this is my entry for Battle Arcade:

2 blacks, 795.0 kg, DSA, blue snapper wedges (yes they suck but i'm probably gonna die first round to a popup either way, VS is meant to rapidly deal damage while the side FS grinds at the wheels of the enemy

It doesn't really matter what you build, if you're trying to stick it to the popups, you must have either annoying defenses (like HSes) or simple have better wedges. Take your time on the wedge and experiment some more if necessary. It's the harsh truth, but even good wedges are a requirement for good popup.

That aside, the blades aren't doing that much since you already have FSes for protection and the VS to flick bots away from your chassis. Ditch those and you could probably try out Snapper2 wedges, or just use some good ol' ramplates since those cover the front much better.

Love the blade design, gives it a Samurai like look(only nitpick would be to rotate the ones on the other side so you have \ \ / / blades. Wouldn't replace them with ram plates or anything. Also out of the 3 meta designs I think popups are the lesser evil.

actually that VS is more for grinding at the enemy underside while rapidly draining their chassis s'health thanks the high piercing of the razors, and i'll still need something for the center, also i can't put anchors higher to add ramplates with my current setup, green snappers won't fit either cause chassis s'not tall enough, i may mount them externally  and redo the FS mounting setup

not quite certain about hammers with chassis wedges like that though. it seems like a way to angle your opponents's weapons towards your hammer extenders

I second flattening the front of the second hammer. You only need enough leverage on a hammer to keep wedge from sneaking under you. Too much angle and pokers/HSs have permission to rip your hammer apart.
