:-D Out of much boredom, on a free school night, I played RA2 for a bit and decided to say hi. So yarg. (PS, did you all change forums or something? Doesn;t see to be the URL I remembered, at least for the forums...?):blackeye_smily:
Anyhoo, here's my spinney-thingy-ish...:

I know, I know, I commited every RA2 cardinal sin in the book. However, I havebn't played for a while, so no bat stacking for me. And yes, I know I have empty space. And and cost-ineffective angle brackets. And those dinky batteries. =3 Oh well.
My strategy: hold left arrow key and swap to right as I see fit. Most bots kill themselves by approaching me... Yep, it's my lul in the face of AI.
Virtually impregnable until it looses a disc. However, in a sacrifice, I have no control of my direction, I can get out of immobility warnings, but can't choose my amiable wandering course. And if you remember my past bots, I do indeed hold a grudge against wheels still. Okay~.
Edit: Also, the less fortified ones reach out a slight bit more for a reason. ;P I love pawning off less effective my parts...

What would be more awesome is if you had spinners on all sides. :P

^Might have to try that for a SHW. =D

dont bother with the angle extenders just attach the irons straight on the discs (wire the discs in the bot lab and move them around if the Irons intercept) and you might gain enough additional weight

Basically the same idea as my bumblebee.

^^GHEEEEYYYY

kinda reminds me of this bot Firebeetle made ages ago

The old forums tanked when atari or someone pulled the plug, so we all came here. So, yes these are the "official" forums now.

Just reminding people, so I can see if it gets the same feedback as Bumble Bee.

STRAIIIIGHT!
Also, joe just repeated what the guy said in the disc for the bot, WTH?

Yet more proof that people here criticize before reading about it. I bet He could mention custom parts and Nobody would notice till the 3rd page.

You know... it seems that Bumble Bee was based off of my Absolute Spike Defense...

Well, when I built it, I was actually just trying to make a HW version of my bot Gyre, as well as give it controlled movement. ASD was probably in the back of my mind as I was building, but i wasn't basing it off ASD.
