Martymidget's stock failcase
« on: April 19, 2010, 10:53:51 AM »
Well, hi all, nice to be here. I have been browsing and looking at other showcases, and I have decided to make my own. The first robot I am posting I think is bad, but I like the concept and I would like to improve it. The names not very original either :P
Presenting....The Block From Hell (or TBFH for short:P)

Be as criticising as you like :P

Quite a nice concept you have there. Craaig has been teaching you well. :P

How many black batteries does it have and what is the armour?

Yeah, that's not gonna be enough. Lose the pinks and try to double stack the Blackvolts. If you're REALLY lucky, you might get a triple stack, I did that with the Nifty once. =)

Well, I managed to stack a nifty there instead- with a supervolt i dont have enough weight to add my snowplough, lol. It gave me 8.2kg, so i added a pink (good idea?:P). I could stack a supervolt if i lost the casters, though.

Get rid of the rear discs ( they won't hit anything there) And shrink the chassis. Also you don't need the snowplow.Add more spikes to the front discs and snapper load them to increase speed.

ok, I will try to work on it tomorrow after school, coursework permitting. I have tried snapper loading before, having watched the videos on how, but I can't quite seem to crack it. Ill try again and see what happens :D

I think the theory of the back discs might be if the bot tips over onto its back, then the snowplow scoops them up into them. I'm not sure if it'll work, the snowplow seems to be attached the wrong way. But getting back to the BlackVolt stacking, replace the Iron Spikes with Razors (less weight, pretty much equal performance), then you should have enough weight left to get two BlackVolts in there.

It's really messy but better than the average newbie bot.

Should be invertible.

For a start, that's the best Mouldy Cheese I've seen in these parts *shudders at prospect of WTT teammate*

Once again, a quite interesting concept. I'll let the pro stock builders give you advice. I wouldn't know where to start.

Halp, it's confusing! *Dies*

Hahaha......It was a fluke. The first time it fought NWB, it beat it. Ive fought it about 20 times since, and its only won again once, lol. Clockwork hydra, alien queen and some robots like that its better against, though it is morbidly afraid of NWB and HS XD

Not nearly enough weaponry on that bot. You should learn to AI, so you can really see your bot's effectiveness.
