Nicely built. Few ideas: Rotate the hammers so that the horizontal extenders holding the razors face inward. This will make the damage more towards the center of the opposing chassis where there is less chance of a collision with armor or weapons (especially against HS). Remember to rotate the razors all the same way to maximize damage. If possible, try and get a second plow on there for a V front shape. Because you are using the single middle wedge, it's OK to use the SII (the blue snapperII) to hold it because you wont be really challenging other wedges anyway. Also. on hammers, because of the high center of gravity, HP-zteks aren't always the best option. They have a tendency to flip over. Try normal zteks. These two things combined should save you enough weight for a frontal armor overhaul.

This is how much progress I've made so far. I'm working on moving the plows forwards so that they don't intersect the chassis so much. Weight: 397.1

Making some nice progress so far. Now try fixing the chassis such that the black (rotated 90 degrees) is in between the drive and the snapper between the DDTs. That should somewhat fix the plow issue.

Nicely done. The extender setup is somewhat messy, however there's not much you can do with the extra weight anyway so good work.

New bot. I was watching Ironbot and trying to figure out how Grinding Noise worked, and this is something I came up with.

And insides:

Its a bit difficult to see in the pictures but there are 4 razors on each motor, two pointing upwards and two downwards.
It works ok if it can get underneath the chassis, but the motors are still a little too exposed.

You don't need a burst for every motor - just a single servo or Snapper II would do just fine. Then you could spend the weight on HPZ drive and/or a shallower chassis wedge.

Still pretty nice, though.

An image of the bot in its current state. Still very work-in-progress.

Changes made: Weapon motors now only use 1 snapper rather than 2 servos.
Changes still to be made: Switch to HPzs with new weight, need to raise the snapper slightly to stop razors hitting the ground.
In the picture it looks as if the snapper is not centered but it actually is.

In this case, don't center the snapper. Shift it off to a side and use 2 20cms instead of that setup - lighter and makes it a bit higher.

Still nice, keep it up. :P

I had thought that doing that would make the razors hit the ground too much, but it seems to work very well. Weight: 381.1

Had some weight left over so put some armour on. Still some weight left over but I don't know how to spend it. Still, i'm pretty happy with this.
If there is an advantage to using the snapper, however, i will change to that, but for now i think this works quite well.

that doesn't explain why most of the bots in the middleweight division that have really good wedges use blue snappers.

I went and made another version of the bot using blue snappers for wedges:

With this setup I can have more armor, which is nice, but I'm still confused about which type of snapper is better for wedges.

you might want to try and make the wedge shallower. you can attach the ramplates onto anchors and angle them outwards a bit more so they cover parts of the side. generally blue snapper wedges kinda suck when you have something on the other ap, but whatever works works
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

seism 16, ancient curse, and the restocked dementia among others

ty's has the correct advice. blue snappers have generally produced better wedges for me when it comes to mws although green snappers are good too if you want to also use your wedges for self righting.

Made a new version with a shallower wedge and baseplate mounts holding the armor.

Gave it a skin as well:

Weight is now 391.2
