Use DSA (Double strength aluminum). You just skip the armor tab and you get an armor that is as light as aluminum but stronger than steel.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

with the comparison between 3 and 4... 3 has much less chassis space wasted, try to plan things in advance I even scribble things down on paper and make chassis air tight, the less chassis there is the more weight there is to use on weapons

one handy tip I always use even at the lowest height level for your chassis you are able to put the control board on top of a supervolt with the ctrl key

hope that helps, and once again welcome to GTM

Nicely built. Looking forward to how well you can build with either just stock or just DSL.

You should look around to get familiar with common knowledge things first, like glitches. And strategies.

Save all the work that you've done (robots mostly) and reinstall a clean RA2 to get rid of all the DSL parts you have in your Stock version.

Also get a second copy of the game and install DSL on it (or simply download the whole thing; there is a link in my signature).

Keep that showcase for Stock and get another in DSL.

Yes, do as Naryar said.
One main hint for building good Stock bots is that you only need a chassis 5 pixels high to make it just high enough for HP-Zteks.
In the second part of building the chassis, there is that slider in the right side of the screen, move it all the way down and then carefully move it 5 pixels up.

It doesn't. Those weren't RADs. They were actually Team Whyachi motors. Both just look the same.

[Edit] Whoa. Those were RADs? Oh well, newbies make mistakes. :P

Well yeah it has RAD drive... but not obvious to see, and Urjak was new when he posted that bot, just like you are right now, and he hasn't mixed DSL and Stock since AFAIK.

Now mixing DSL and stock is basically cheating, so either you make like everyone else (Stock parts aren't allowed in DSL tournaments), either bad things will happen.

EDIT: Pwnator it HAS RAD drive actually. Magmotors doesn't have that little blue ring with black and white stripes and are slightly bigger.

it is frowned upon as it gives stock bots an unfair advantage or in DSL most stock parts have better DSL counterparts or replacements (which is why you BOTM didn't gain any votes) feel free to do it for fun when playing RA2 but don't showcase them with out expecting criticism

I don't see why people would get as mad for using Stock parts like motors on a DSL bot. Wouldn't that simply decrease the bots effectiveness?

Oh, and yes, If I remeber correctly Canadian Devil did have RAD drive, though I corrected that a while back and have simply not showcased the updated one. I used slimbodys instead.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Compare a Supervolt and a PC625.

And HPZ's are better than Mags for the same weight...

ACAMS did allow AI Parts he just didn't specify that it was the stock ones only so I see it as thinking outside the box using the rules to there extent. If you don't like how I won perhaps you should have entered?

anyway that comment had nothing to do weather I won BOTM or not I was just giving him an example of peoples response to mixing. I feel he can make some good bots if he sticks to the one type (DSL or Stock)
