Title: JD's Noob Bots Voting Showcase
Post by: Jack Daniels on September 28, 2009, 05:44:17 PM: Ok, It looks like noob warz season 2 is getting geared up with registration. I have 5 Heavy weight noob bots in my archives that were constructed before I joined the old RA2 forums way back. All of them fail pretty bad. I didn't bother to put the weights in the splash because it does not matter anyways. Two of the bots never got skins either because they were so bad.

Please leave a comment vote for which one you would like to see entered in noob warz 2! You, the members of the RA2 community, get to determine my fate in the tourney.

I figured since the battles are all for giggles... why not let you guys choose my bot eh?

My first ever Heavyweight! A crude sit and spinner. Didn't we all think battle axes were awesome and powerful because they were so big?

My first replica. Deadblow! Hammer bot. pretty lame paint job for a replica. Decent movement, crazy fun and challenging to play though!

Horrific is Horrific... the weapons touch the ground... it is unstable. Looks nasty... drives nasty. Experimental fail!

Spincrud is actually a decent fighter... a tad slow... gets stuck alot.

Suckerpunch is my favorite experimental bot that I first made. When it lands a blow, it actually hits pretty hard. The drive motors move the disk along with the HPZ for extra power. Hard to control though... I think the AI would get wonky with it.

Please vote for a bot. Have fun. Discuss. Bash me with noob taunts... go wild!

btw, it is interesting how this 'noob' bots are more creative than more recent ones.
