Here's an update with what I've been doin'

A rebuild of one of my HW VSes, Vital Force. This will be Vital Force II.

Got just about 20kg left, looking for some helpful insight with suggested tweaks, additions, etc. Bot itself is pretty close to a finished product. Only thing it really has trouble with is stability from the rear, which I tried to address with the bracket wedge. Thoughts?

Also, can somebody PLEASE help me fix my "session error" issue? It is annoying that I can only post to the forum from my mobile device. Nothing that anybody suggested has mitigated the problem. *cough* *maybe Trov* *anybody*

You could put blades on the wedges with that extra weight?

And your browser must be weird cause the cookies and relog works for everyone else.

I think I finally fixed it...

But after testing I found out:

-Big disks = big targets
-Less than satisfactory stability (rocks forwards/back a bit)
-Very effective, can take out bots of all varieties

I also switched the wedges to those steel 140cm ones, so I have ~30kg left to spare now.

the rocking may be due to the Y connectors?

ya it's looking like it's it to the Y connectors, don't know why they make this bot so unstable in particular. I'm also going to probably go a disk size smaller and get the center of gravity closer to the ground.

meanwhile I cant post from my computer again  :realmad(

The forum can't handle Inf's awesomeness. It is pretty annoying having to clear the cache every time the forum spazzes out, but Trov is working on it.

Yeah, I'm still looking into it. Please be patient.

Nice bot. It has been awhile since I last saw a VS with weapon motors that weren't mounted onto snappers. I find it to be refreshingly different.

Once again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience that this login issue is causing.

Here it is, final edition.

I give you my first complete build since my return :3 Vital Force II!

^^^new and improved setup

^^^insides

Tested it out against PYS AI (only one I can get to function properly -_-) and it handled everything mighty well, except for HSes. It does a more than satisfactory job against HSes however, especially for a 2WD VS. Really proud of this one! Chassis is a dope shape as well, I will be making a sweeeeeet skin for it soon! (sorry for the ugly one in the splash...)

Enjoy! More to come.

It's amazing how much better it looks from the first one, and how much more Inf-like. Is the rear stability okay without the bracket?

Pwn:     That is the main component of my current review&rebuild process. Maximize what I can simplify. Snapper loading/stacking is great and all, but not applications require it. Here you see maximum use of axle loading. As for the motor guards: that's kinda a new thing for me. I'm really happy I manufactured this specific setup for VF2. I tried at first to protect the disks better, but I couldn't work a proper setup. I settled. I'm not well known to be very defense oriented. Definitely an x-factor for my building going forward.

Sage: This edition is a lot better in terms of that 'rocking' effect you get in VSes. This one is a lot more stable, as the center of gravity is both closer to the ground and closer to the front of the bot. The wedges also rock....... And I'm so happy it looks inf-like  :approve:  I  thought I might never get my touch back  :rage !!
