Well, you definitely have something going on here! But it looks messy. But 11 irons (!) is too much for a DDT to handle for it to to heavy damage. A common rule here is to use 3-6 razors per DDT. Also, even up the snappers do they can get under bots nicely.

For starters try cloning this bot:

It doesn't have to be an exact copy, since the tire-inside-the-motor is kinda time consuming. And the name's just to throw you off. It's actually quite destructive. :D

Wow, that looks really complicated... One question though, how do you link an extender, which is attatched to a DDT Burst, onto another extender which is linked onto another DDT Burst like that? It would have to be perfectly positioned.

also i luv ty hes mai waifu <3333333333333333333

They are not linked, just inside each other. (I should know, it's my bot xD).

I also have one in the tutorials section of the forum for stacking black batteries (which would be quite beneficial).

You can still add 2 razors on the right DDT. :P

But it's actually quite nice, though you can shift the Snapper2 (or whatever motor's holding the middle wedge) slightly forward, so it's at the side wedges' length. You can spend the extra weight by removing the spike strip system and place 2 DDTs in front of the ones you already have, and probably fit 5 razors onto each DDT. If you still have extra weight, well that depends on how much you're left with. Just show us what you can come up with. :D

Thanks for the good comments, guys.

I'm going to finish my popup and then I want to build a good spinner. One question though, how do you build good spinners like Absolute Chaos?

Ooh. Eager learner is eager. :P

To make an uber-spinner (in this case a 36HS), you need an itty-bitty chassis (no more than 34 or 58 kg, depending on the weapon setup), 2 Snapper IIs (you can get them from the Combo AI + SZ pack in the Downloads section), 2 blacks (they have to be stacked to fit inside the small chassis), 2 HPZs for drive, 4 HPZs for weapons, and 36 irons/maces. Whether you have to stack snappers or not depends on the chassis size and motor setup. Try snooping around some showcases here for 36HSes and you can see how compact the chassis should be. :D

Ok, here is (hopefully) my finished popup, Ripped:

(Paint job is kinda bad, I know.  :bigsmile: )

Also, thanks for the info about spinners.

One more question, though, (I'm full of them.) How do you create spinners like... Heavens Sawmill? Basically the ones with all of the snowplows.

Actually, you don't need such long arms for the popup. You want to try to have the center of gravity somewhere near the front, to keep the wedges effective.

As for the question about VSes, well that depends on what kind of VS you're trying to build. There are VSes which have small weapon radii to continuously gut-rip undersides, and there are VS which have large weapon radii (like Heaven's Sawmill) to throw bots OOTA. VSes tend to have wedges to feed bots to the spinners, and Heaven's Sawmill just extended that connection using plows. It also doubled its flinging power by chaining motors. As you can see it only has 2 discs while having 4 motors, but that means one disc can be powered by 2 motors. But that also means that it will have a longer spinup time, but it's all worth it when you see bots flying away. Also, probably the most important aspect that you should take in mind when building VSes is stability. Which is why a lot of VSes tend to have a wide stance. :D

Ok, thanks. I'm going to have a go at making one but don't expect a air-tight chassis on my first try.  :bigsmile:

Quote from: Sage
The point of making a 36 HS is that you figure it out yourself to prove your skills. The rules are also fairly strict:

1. 36 weapons that weight 10 kgs each, ex. Iron Spikes and Maces. (You can, if you have the weight, add a frontal weapon for protection)

2. These 36 weapons will be on 4 tribars that are on 4 HP-Zteks.

3. The drive will be 2 HP-Zteks, usually with shiny hub wheels on them.

4. The power will be 2 Black Batteries.

5. This is optional, but you will get much more respect if you can make it invertible as well.

That said, I have built a lot of them and will you give you a few tips:

1. Pretty much the only way is to use two blue Snapper II's. There are two workable designs that use 2 servos and a few with one snapper II... but i already made those :P

2. You should learn snapper loading before you attempt this. (Look in my signature for a tutorial.)

3. There are many, many ways to do a setup for this type of bot (which is why they are fun to build) but it's becoming hard to come up with new ones as of late. I would suggest looking at other peoples versions and copying the design. After you make your first it's easier to design a new setup.

4. Come up with the setup in your head or on paper before even attempting it in game. This will usually help. The weight of the stuff is 762-766 kgs (depending on if you use 2 20cms or 4 20cms for your setup) or 774 (if you choose granny guard wheels instead of shiny hubs) so your chassis will have to be fairly small. The breakdown for the components is here:

360= Weapons

120= Weapon Motors

60= Drive Motors

60= Batteries

56= Tribars

48= Extenders for weapons

26= Snapper II's

24= Wheels (Shiny Hubs) OR 36= Granny Guard Wheels

4-8= Extenders for setup

4= Control Board
