Hi i'm new and i'm not very good at building bots.
This is my first bot : Devinator

I like the merged outside/inside shots :) First off, you will want to shorten the chassis so that it is about the height of a ztek, switch the motors with Hpz's, give it smaller wheels (I recomend slipper bottoms) and try to get more spikes on there, preferably with baseplate anchors.
You will also want to check out this link for some handy building tips :)

Good luck!

Don't get yourself down, everybody's gotta start somewhere. :) Good to see you've got down the showcasing basics of cropping your pictures and knowledge of how a bot works.
The first thing I would advise you to do is build up to the weight limit of 800.0 kg for your heavyweight bots. If you need some basic starting point, you could go for two Supervolt batteries like you have now, four HP Z-Tek motors (the ones you have right now are regular Z-Teks), a Control Board, and use the rest of the weight on whatever weapons you'd like, or even armour. As you get more comfortable with chassis design, you can also try trimming empty space in the bot by using shapes other than a rectangle, and adjusting the bot's height on the second part of Chassis Building.
If you want to do some more reading, this page (http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/ra2techs.htm) is a great place to start learning how most people build their bots around here, or take a look at some other users' bots in their showcases in this section.

This is what I have done to my bot.

Shrink the bots chassis down
-
The axes on the sides are not going to do much, you might want to swap them for some ramplates or plows. Unless you're going for good looks.
I don't know much about building rammers in general, so I will let the other more experienced builders help you on from here :)
-
Much cleaner and better overall. You will want to use axe heads straight since they only do damage with the side.
-
It should be noted that axes have normals meaning they only deal damage with the bladed edge. Iron spikes, Maces and razor tips deal damage from every location making them the most popular weapon choices.
-
Inside is the same.

Welcome, bro! Looking good so far.
Right now, you have ~200 kgs of spare weight. Other bots have that much more weaponry and it really does make a difference. You could use the spare weight to add even more weapons.
You could make the chassis shorted so that the bot is invertible. If you get it right, you could even get it invertible with shiny hubs, which are lighter and generally are the go-to wheels.
Hope you stick around!
-
a few tips:
*Always build to the weight limits - 790-800 for heavyweight bots.
*There are multiple attachment points on most items that you can place parts on or use the different points to place the part differently.
*Turning weapons like razor tips and iron spikes will allow you to place them right next to each other on the same extender, just turn it 360 degrees until the part lights up.

That's pretty nice for a newbie, hope you stick around! :)

Shrink the bots chassis down
understatement of the century right here folks
for something like this i would use more axes and possibly more drive, right now opponents can have up to around 190 kg more weaponry/ armor / drive than you so you want to get this up to the weight limit, and you only need 1 black for this at the very most, i would go for a nifty battery
the link fracture posted will be very useful to you so you really should read it

again, shrink the chassis, it's too boxy.
move the weapon motor inside, it could get knocked off easily.
smaller wheels

Yeah checking out Fracture's link will really help you.

:( Idea stealer!
Newest bot is an improvement; you've filled the weight limit with the right kind of components. You should know that all wheels have the same properties in Stock other than size, grip mesh (which is essentially their "hidden size"), looks, and weight. This meaning that the Shiny Hub wheels are for the most part the best because they are the lightest, so instead of using Z-Teks with N-12s go for HP Z-Teks with Shinies. This and trimming your chassis will give you more weight to use on other, more useful stuff.
For your weapons, the Razor Tips and Iron Spikes you currently have are great choices, but the Face Spinner weapon system (the discs) should be moved forward so it gets more action.

What you're doing so far is OK, but you're going to watch to shrink the chassis, at in some HPz's, give it shiny hub wheels, and try to focus the side spinning blades towards the front. Also the plow on the back is sort of unnecessary, AI robots don't attack the backs of robots (but if you have the weight, feel free to leave it. I'm not going to try to dictate the way you design things). try to get a frontal weapon setup similar to this
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/28483RPB.JPG)
(Not that I am telling you that you have to copy every single feature of a robot that is in the RA2 Hall Of Fame, that is just to give you a feel for how gut rippers and face spinners can be set up)
One thing you always want to try is to keep the robot chassis as protected and as far away from the opposing robots as possible, some builders even use setups that have every robot part mounted on an external extender rather than inside (sans batteries and control board, they cant leave the chassis unfortunately.) an example would be my lightweight, "Brain"
Everything except for what has to be is outside of the chassis and the chassis is far back and protected by the weapons. Feel free to try doing this yourself on larger robots :)
