Hi.
So, as you can see by the title. I don't usually play stock, ever. But I took a go at it for Box of Nightmares.
A complete contrast with the tournament's name, Birdhouse in your soul is my first attempt at anything competitive. And it's alright.

Anyway, on the bot.
Not too much i can think of apart from the drive (do HS's need great drive anyway) and perhaps turn the irons inwards and spin it that way.
Is it invertible?
And listen to others, as i'm sure you know.

Yeah, maces don't break as easily. It's connected by a T connector.

No angle connectors plz.
And angling them inwards makes it moar chewy, moar chewy makes moar damage for that sort of design.

Use maces and try to contain the HPZs inside the chassis

HS that spin inwards make it easier to trap opponents and hold them to cause damage. I'd consider swapping the Irons for Maces as well.

No idea on what to eat up those last few kg with though. If I had 0.1 spare I could have a red extender + razor on the front but I like my skin.

I bit the bullet and redid the chassis. It was needlessly tall.
See the pic in my previous post for insides. It's pretty much the same.
It has a caster on the bottom for some protection. Other than that I have no idea what to use the weight on.

I have no idea either. I did the mental equivalent of sticking all the possible bot types for Roboleague to a dart board and throwing a dart at it. And this was the result
If I went down to snapperII's I think I should have enough weight left over for an extra iron. Not sure how it would affect the wedge though

Why the chained DDT's? That's going to be a massive havok bomb, isn't it?

I've tried it out a bit and it hasn't havoked once. Touch wood.
And UnDeadbeat in Narai had chained bursts. And that worked.

Chained bursts allow for more swing, and maybe faster swing speed/more torque, however they are horribly awful at self-righting.
Also small wedges are generally seen as better.

A spiritual successor to Birdhouse in Your Soul.. It's 385.6kg and I have no idea what to use the extra weight on.

Redo it with a black and you'll be able to eat up the weight while making it invertible at the same time.

Doesn't look too bad, though. What you could do is use more casters along the front corners to give some slightly better protection to the wheels/motors.

You might want to try using the Pause button while you're eFFeing the maces on.

This is probably going to sound completely stupid but when do you press the pause button while effeing the maces on? I have never been quite sure.

You spin the tribars, then press the Pause button when the mace is in a space. After that, switch tabs while still paused, then press the Pause button again to unpause it.

One entry to Roboleague, the wedges are alright. Not exactly going to set the world alight I know but i've sure as heck made worse.

For future revisions you can try trimming the chassis with a

The smartzone seems a bit far forward, at this point it looks more like a hammer than a popup. Unless, of course, that's what you were going for.

Now, normally, I wouldn't touch a stock tourney with a 10 foot barge pole, as the space I waste by going out in Round 1 could have gone to someone with talent. But as there isn't a cap on entries for ironbot, I thought I might as well. Not expecting much at all from this one.

I like it, it reminds me of Disaster Transport somewhat.
I'm not sure if the weight's a typo, but it if isn't, why not use the remaining weight for longer wedges or a couple more casters.
Also, how stable is it? Does it bounce or tip over when it hits your opponent?

It's as stable as a bot that top heavy can be.
I would add a couple more castors, but as ironbot has a max of 6...
I opted for snapper2 wedges instead. Wedges are better now. It's now 798kg.

The Ounce beat me to it...reminded me of DT immediately too.
The best thing you could do for that bot is to take some measures to get the Green Snaps on for the wedges and get rid of the blue ones altogether. Ideally, you should probably resort to having only 2HPs for Disks. This will make the bot more stable, and allow you to use more damage-producing components as well as more efficient wedges. The maces, also, are a relatively poor weapon choice for the system at hand.

Duly noted. What do you think I should use instead of maces though? Iron spikes? I am reluctant to use razors as this one is for Ironbot.

If reskinned components are fine, then "resounded" components should be fine. As long as no other stats are changed in the .txt, which they aren't.

What do you mean? I ripped them off of youtube and converted them into 22050hz 32-bit float wav. I then put them in /sounds and changed the suond file in the .txt of the component.
And the drive motors are a perfect example of why I used a servo in Moonlight Slaughter in E-flat for the sound.

Funfact: Originally it had 3 wheels!
But i'm presuming with some of the hideous draws other people have got they won't have much pushing power either. I sort of ended up putting a good drivetrain in one and more weaponry in the other.

On a 45 degree baseplate anchor, I was very lucky to be able to stack it. Haven't tested it yet but I will in a bit.

I like the 3 wedge idea, but serious lack of armor and power really worries me. Plus what kind of weapon setup is that? Popup? Not much aligning going on.

The middle DDT was set back as I was trying something out before which didn't work. Considering it aligned and fixed now, though.
