I think you will find, Acams obtained the domain name (aka the website "address") ... then added it to this websites directory.. Thats all..


He doesn't have the old forum, posts, databases or anything like that...

No, nonono. AU in this instance means AceUplink, the forums that existed before Gametechmods. I think he wants to restore it so that we can browse around and see what it was like there, but I'm not too sure how that would work. Maybe everything got erased when the domain name went down, I wouldn't be too surprised if that happened.
Precisely what I'd like to see happen.

Now I know GTM owns AU so why not restore AU into an archived form where no one can post but you can look at it and study the AU forums?
