People use the Bot exchange for tournament entries? What happened to keeping your entry a secret?
nobody is scared of the boogieman making a bot to only counters your bot anymore, because it doesn't happen.

Yeah, I've also used Bot Exchance both as uploader and downloader a lot, recently. Soooooo... cool traffic

I'm afraid traffic should've increased and will increase with stuff like GTMCS (and possibly stuff GTMRW and SoG) becoming more frequent. Some people send me rars for one robot, instead of using the Bot Exchange. I'm not too sure how accurate your traffic reports are. Also, if you're afraid of clutter, replace the Bot Exchange with 'Search', unless people actually use the advanced search option, as compared to the quick and easy to use bar at the top right.

I removed it for a few reasons:
1. There wasn't much traffic going to it and it looks quite bad ATM (and there is no quick and easy way of deleting the culprits).
2. We had a bunch of clutter in the nav bar that was causing some users to have multiple lines (which was breaking our somewhat dated forum skin).
3. The eventual goal was to replace the entire downloads section with something that could be integrated with the BotExchange. This was more of a long term goal but I find it works better to gradually transition.

I could probably work out a better landing page for after you successfully upload something. To my knowledge, it hasn't been touched since I added some security stuff over a year ago (most of the work went into the replacement) but I could probably figure something out.

You have been noticed.
o///////o

How frequently do you visit the Bot Exchange? There is already a link on the Downloads tab and the site statistics said that only a fraction of our traffic was going to the not exchange when it was still a tab.
Basically everytime I go to submit a bot for a tourney/send one to someone which I would say is around 4-5 time a month. Probably around the same amount for other people. The only reason I suggested the tab was because it was easy to get back to main page of the bot exchange to grab your bot again after it's uploaded (which maybe confusing for new members right now). Would it be possible to add a link on the Success Upload page that would take to to the download section of the bot you just uploaded? Because that would be pretty damn nice.

new users trying to submit robots for tournaments can't find it because it's tucked away in a tiny corner of the main page, hell i'm annoyed i need to click through 3 different pages to find it. what was so bad about having it on the top of the page anyway?
^
This
Makes new users not bother with it and upload it on other websites instead, add it so we can have a bigger DB of robots(and also fix some of the errors it generates while viewing)

If it were to be added back, can we please have the ability to delete our robots from there? I have a few on there I'd rather delete and/or rename
I assume something like that was going to be in the Bot exchange 2.0 Trov was working on, but it's been a while since he have gotten an update on it at all as I assume Trov has been very busy with his life outside GTM.

Yeah, add that, also fix the errors that it generates when viewing the available bots.

Look at it as a time capsule. Sure, earlier versions of your bot may not be that great, but they are representative of where you were at the time.

I don't use the bot exchange so this doesn't effect me
Thanks for sharing! :)
