I other news I will be working with another builder to make an attachment for my beetleweight. Two pieces of 0.0625 4140 steel welded together. It's very Shame Spiral-y.

The wedge is done. Thanks to my friend Jim for helping me out!

Slim Pickens is ready, too. After Bot Blast I'm planning on making a completely different wedge for it.

Here's how Bot Blast went:

Slim Pickens went 2-2. It's main issues were the gearboxes and an unlucky draw against a horizontal spinner. Most likely will be rebuilt for Franklin.

Thunder Child went 4-2 (with one forfeit that I didn't count) to get 3rd place. It just needs some replacement parts and it'll be good to go. The new wedge held up great, it just isn't as good against other wedges.

I also received the Best Driver award by a landslide vote, which was truly an honor.

Thanks to all the folks who competed and helped out, and all the folks who spectated and will hopefully become future competitors!

New 150 gram bot. Just needs a sharpened wedge and spare lectra lite tires.

Bot Blast was awesome.

I'm a bit bummed that the new Slim Pickens didn't do as well as i would've hoped, but now I know its weaknesses. 1 win, 2 losses.

But holy crap, Thunder Child was amazing. It took on 3 of the deadliest beetleweight horizontals (BEST KOREA, Circuit Breaker, and Silent Spring), and survived all of them. Only things I needed to replace were a motor, a side panel, and the original top plate I've used since 2013. 6 wins, 0 losses.

One of the biggest highlights of the event was a young boy (7-8 I think) who was at his first event, and was having the time of his life. Not only did he get to meet people that were on Battlebots, but he also won the antweight rumble.

Here's the intense final between myself and Silent Spring, belonging to Jamison Go (of Sawblaze and Overhaul fame).

B U M P

Currently working on rebuilding Denise:

Another builder offered to sell me the wedge from his 150g bot Mango Farmer (Yes I messed up the mounting holes, but they will be fixed).

A UHMW frame, with polycarbonate top and bottom. Like Mango Farmer, the motors will be glued in to place. I have yet to CAD the wheels, but the bot is about 112g right now.

Haven't posted here in a while.

Now a bit more PP3D-ish. Recently got a 3D printer so now I don't need to pay other people to make the chassis.
