Bulldozer:

motors before cleaning:

after:

polycarbonate side pannels before cleaning:

this has cost about £400 so far. you may remember it as being for sale on the FRA forums a while back, one of my team mate bourght it and blew up the speed controler, so i have been given it to repair and rewire. ordered 3 packets of deans conectors, 300 LEDs and a pair of 30a electronises.  got a  4900mah 12v nimh battery on its way from china as well to replace the 3300mah 9.6v one it ran at guilford.

any thoughts/comments??

Why the overkill capacity battery? If it's 4wd you could run two matches on a 2.5ah battery counting on I guessed correctly in assuming that its running 550 size motors.

As a side; I noticed your wheels are press fitted drectly to the gearboxes output shaft. I've never seen wheels attached like that work well. If you have a laythe or know someone who does it might be a good idea to make something like these to attach the wheels or you can buy them here I use this setup on all of my robots.

We attached wheels like that on both Annihilation & Explosion, along with practically every other UK feather

Never had any problems

I think it might be too fast for its own good, Every lower weightclass bot I've seen with that kind of speed was all but uncontrollable in combat situations.

that is kind of the norm speed for antweights, mind you i can't drive robots to save my life, im slightly better at featherweight driving because there is more room for cock ups... unless you end up out of the arena, curse you will!!

You could break the norm and have a bot that is actually controllable =P

True. Why be standard? Try something new.

Whatever is needed to make it controllable at that speed?
