Who are these bots?
« on: March 09, 2017, 02:20:15 PM »
I've been meaning to post these pictures for a long time now. I just haven't gotten around to actually doing it.

What are the names of these bots?

This is the house robot that preceded Major Damage, but I don't know it's name.

top right feels to me like Pullverizer, the robot that came before PulverizeR from Dutch RW S2. Middle is Mechadon.
Former DSL HW champion.
Runner-Up in The Cybernetic Colosseum HW division.
Semi-finalist in RNP: Sword of Glory.
Robogames 1 BW Runner-up.

Baby PulverizeR looks awesome. The one on the left looks like Player and the one on the right looks like Pulver.
Melis is written on the leg of baby Mechadon so I'd hazard a guess at that.

Number 3 might be Gripper, one of the old Roaming Robots house bots. But I not 100% sure about this one due to photos of it looking more like Growler, less like the photo in 3.

Doesn't look like Gripper unless Gripper got reshelled at some point. Gripper basically looked like budget growler.

I did state that Gripper was a bit like Growler, but due to a grammar error you may of not propely read that part. If you want to know what Gripper does look like, here it is:

Gripper was said to only appear in Featherweight battles and was used up until 2011, before it was retired and sold off to Team Enigma. I'm not sure if this helps, but it should be handy if you want to know.

Edit: Gripper was also stated to be one of the smallest house robots built by Team Roaming Robots, which Gripper could match the height of the one in photo three. But because footage and photos are limited of Gripper, it can be difficult to find a picture that properly matches the one in Three (This photo was found off the Roaming Robots Wiki). Also Gripper was first seen in 2005, if you want an idea of how long the machine was in use for live events.

I do recognise it. I went to Roaming Robots in 2006 and remember seeing that.

Gripper might indeed be the name of it. Couldn't be sure, though.
