One last question:

Are Dave's hubs supposed to stick to the lite flite axle? Because only one out of four of mine does that and I was thinking of getting some lite hubs instead, they seem easier to work with.

dave hubs + lite flites mount like a car tire to a rim. you take the plastic hub out of the lite flite to correctly mount to dave hubs. if they still don't quite fit try using a CA glue to secure them to the hub. (it is a total pain in the ass to get them off though).

I knew that (in fact I already have all the hubs assembled) and I kinda thought that's what you had to do to get them to stay on.

Plus, if it's a pain in the ass to get them off, then it'll be a pain in the ass for the opponent too :3

the wheels shred before the CA glue breaks. i'd personally switch to the fingertech hubs if you have them or haven't hit the point of no return with the davehubs.

What exactly is the "point of no return"?

I'll see if I can order the fingertech hubs tonight, we're gonna order the last few things we need then

you glued the wheels on the davehubs, or removed the plastic hub or committed to using davehubs.

might want to glue them back together when you put on the fingertech hubs so they don't come apart in combat.

What kind of screws would you use for an ant?

I use M4 bolts for mine, I thread the plastic before hand though so they can just be screwed in and easily replaced.

m4 is tiny and metric so i don't recommend it because they are slightly harder to find.

getting small damaged bolts or screws out of a robot is a pain.

i don't go smaller than 10-32 machine screws for metal or #10 woodscrews for uhmw. also you are much less likely to break a 10-32 tap than a m4 tap.

One last question

We were planning to return the charger we got to RobotMarketPlace, how would one go about doing that?

aww. Well that sucks. I'm assuming a charger counts as electronics.

How exactly do you wire the FingerTech switches? I'm assuming you need a second piece of red wire?

If so then can I get red wires without having to order them online?

you can get wire at radio shack or at a hardware store.
