Title: Helloface's robotic question thread!
Post by: helloface on January 05, 2014, 06:42:38 PM
I'll probably need a lot of help along the way, so I'm making this thread instead of posting stuff on my team page since I want to make that sort of a progress log.

Keep in mind I'm going for a wedge similar to this:

Current Chassis:
(sorry about the picture tilt, took it on my iPod)

1. Are there any possible flaws yet?

2. Is the bar inside the outer chassis a good spot for me to mount the motors on later?

3. When do I get my Roboteer title  :gawe:

1. I remember at Bot Blast ( Badnik and SKBT can probably add to this) that the TTI wedge wasn't invertible.

2. Should be. Look at the tutorial:

3. No idea

Alright, thanks. I'll experiment mounting the motors in different places and see if I can make it invertible through a trial & error process.

So other than that, the chassis looks okay?

It looks like it should in the picture. Maybe add more of those L-brackets?

Of course I'm going to do that, silly  :P
I was just waiting until my questions were answered. Might get back to work after I get some food in me.

Pretty sure it was invertible, it's just Ripto knocked something loose that made it unable to drive upside down. Don't really remember. If you need to you could get bigger wheels.

assemble the kit as is. if it doesn't work upside down, slide the wheels towards the back. its frame is aluminum extrusion so it really shouldn't be hard to modify.
