Currently under NDA, but there were ESC failures caused by flamers. They aren't consistent weapons but they can most definitely take a robot over the edge and into thermal meltdown

The only issue I can see you having is if any of these are regionlocked, but that should be everything.

I know, wrong thread to ask, but is there any place to watch the videos or is it just jumping around from youtube video to youtube video, trying to find ones that aren't taken down for copyright reasons(which I find really sad) yet?

[/quote] Oh, you meant this season just now. Very intriguing, most people aren't scared of flamethrowers in the least, but if we've made them that good, that changes things.

Its not even good, its that if during the course of a fight anything provides an opening like a bent panel or sheared screwheads and fire can get in there you could be in trouble, I dont think there's much design space for flamethrowers, there's the big cloud of fire butane mix ones, and the more invisible but hotter propane ones.
I bet if you had temp sensors inside sewer snakes opponents for the past few years its flamethrowers contributed to a few spinner meltdowns too.

But yeah by themselves they dont do much, they can just help seal the deal.

I know two of the matchups already (Gemini vs Blacksmith vs Basilisk and Lycan vs Invader vs Mohawk) but the other two fights are a mystery to me. Son of Whyachi hype though!

Interesting that the legacy bot SoW has to go through this extra stage, but I suppose it wouldn't be a very good episode if they only used mediocre bots. 7 robots in the arena in one of these fights, should be chaotic

Could you imagine SoW vs. Creepy Crawlies... I doubt there'd be anything left of them at the end of that unless the third bot intervened.

I imagine that the other two matches would be SOW/Creepy Crawlies/Ultraviolent and Bad Kitty/Skorpios/Black Ice. SOW has a lot of tasty wheels to rip off of Ultraviolent and a lot of weak targets in Creepy Crawlies, which would make for really good TV.

But that's just my opinion.

If Season 2 airs on Sky in the same time-frame as in America I'll be massively surprised - they haven't shown S1 yet!

Its such a pain, hopefully they will announce when/if it will be on sky soon. Damn all the good quality videos have gone down besides a HD first episode think i had them all downloaded in HD on my old pc :L So i just sent them a message and what battlebots replied were "We're working on a UK deal now (for Season 1 and 2). The show is coming. Details soon." Which is great to hear :D
