Just a quick update from me on the first pass of the new Arena handling system. The very basic framework for all the systems are in place now so soon enough you should be seeing all new arenas using the new system! As I said before I am expecting the first internal release to be ready for February and have started on the documentation to help even Unity Novices get the most out of the tool, so hopefully the first public release won't be too far away (no promises though). Alongside all this I've updated the UI for the arena selection in order to add in the ability to scroll through the list in preparation for the no doubt countless stages you guys will come up with! >Looks at top secret. >Laughs in non-malicious intention

So basically Imma just let everyone enter their bots and no longer have a cap on how many can enter... for now. I'll most likely be making cuts after the 31st. So please, everybody (Robo, Sploodle, Wambo, HardBot, etc), ENTER!!!
Does this mean there's no more limit on how many bots per person? Asking just to be certain.
No, there's still a 5-bot limit. The people that I listed just haven't sent 5 entries yet.

Yup. You guys are right. There was a bug in the breakage code.
When all of the parts connected to a spinner (a.k.a. a single wheel) are broken off, it was supposed to set the remaining mass (a.k.a. just the axle) to have a mass of something just higher than zero. Instead it was setting the remaining mass to be equal to the original mass. This meant that the robot would shake and wobble like crazy when everything was broken off other than the axle itself.
New build coming soon...
Nice, how about the 500 tick lagging like crazy on certailn bots, even tho the cpu usage was not full?
I watched the video, and it looks like it was only when you were in the fire pit.

Idea: More sparks = Bigger blows
I don’t think that’s the way to go. I’d prolly go with glancing blow= straight line of sparks, and big blow=more spread out sparks.

I know plenty of people have made the leap from GTM to real robot combat (Somebody, MikeNCR, craaig...), but this is the first time I've seen someone make the opposite leap. Good to have you around - and great job with those replicas!

Thanks! As for how I fit everything inside, it’s usually just the 90° gearboxes that do the trick. Tbh, Maverick is the only one that clips. The only other one that would potentially not be IRL would be Grated Carrot, because I used a 90° gearbox and dragged it out for the weapon, because the belt clipped through the top, which looked bad.

Reverse Psychology My friend designed this, not ever watching Battlebots before, and yet somehow manages to strongly resemble RotatoR. Hell-Bent A satanic fbs. Buttered Popcorn Made this while watching and enjoying an intense Discord argument. Named it after jokingly sharing some popcorn with Cyar.
