They all come with a layer of salt from battling with god damn extenders. Flat motors for drive: WOKE kept the weight and space down without ultimately crawling like other small motors. 25

Looks like your best bot that i've seen cosmetically. Can you post some more angles of it? Also looks like the teeth are longer than the weapon mounts, does it drive upside down?

I've got to agree with The Roboteer, you should definitely make the flipping arm longer so it can self right. I like the theme, im a sucker for goofy sh**.

I didn't do a good job getting a picture of the back of this thing.
I used a name generator for the name. Bucketsnuff 32

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Sickle’s unoriginal DSL Builds« on: June 20, 2019, 08:04:19 PM »Easily one of my most compact bots Gnaw V, based off Spectre didn't have enough space and weight to add a shrimech but it is invertible. I like the checkered pattern you've got going, and great usage of space. 34

I feel like I get a lot of comments about my panel work, so I wanted to kind of push something out that didn't use any, especially since basically all my bots use the same wedge panels, I really wanted to make something else. It would definitely get hit a lot with the flat edges, but I'm not sure how I would mitigate that without going back to making wedges and plows. I did have to use one panel, just because of the awkward height of the motors, I didn't want to make it thicker than it had to be. The entire exposed frame is steel, aluminum extenders in parts less like to get hit, or non structural areas. making patterns with extenders was definitely new to me, and uses an ass ton of weight.
So side note after the book I already wrote, I actually made this bot upside down, I don't know why but in my head I was thinking I could just flip it over, and when it got to that point it dawned on me that you flip the starting direction. I don't know why I was thinking I could flip the robot. I had to dismantle and rebuild the entire robot because the way I built the bot and did weight saving, the mounting points weren't in the right spots to just flip the components. Anyways, book over. DSL TC Showcases / Re: GIRTHQUAKE's DSL Showcase« on: June 19, 2019, 09:39:09 PM »I'm liking the out-of-the-box thinking going into these designs. Fairly standard designs with a unique twist. Like the twin Beta bursts giving the sides of Lip Smacking a CnC'd look, the unique weapon design of the Icewave clone, and the taller armour of the VS. Out of the box thinking? Or Poor design? Ideas bigger than the weight limit always, but thank you lol Speaking of Poor design, Lip smacking made me want to actually try a push bot, but I tried to go with the "active weapon rule and put a little grinding wheel on it, since like Battlebots, damage is all the matters, ayyyyyy. Didn't mean for it to become Tombstonewall. This one doesn't deserve the effort of a proper splash honestly, but the weight just got out of hand. Didn't scrap it because I'm thinking it might make a lot more sense in a lower weight class and I'd like to revisit it. Walls Fall Out. 36
